The Death of Garry Hoy
Added 2023-07-07 10:15:00 +0000 UTCThe death of Garry Hoy actually contributed to the closure of the law firm he’d worked at (Holden Day Wilson) just a few years later. Losing a colleague in such a strange and unexpected way hit the other people in the office hard, and many of them quit their jobs in the years which followed. Eventually, still reeling from the loss, the firm closed its doors in 1996. It was one of the largest law firms ever to fail in Canadian history – quite the long trail of consequences over a party trick gone terribly wrong.
