A totally different style than what you all are used to but for school we had to come up with a fully original idea, and create it from beginning to finish. Here is my idea about a little lonely TV that wants to find the warmth of a family again
The idea came about the concept of commitment and being attached to things we feel safe to, so the film shows a TV trying to detach from that commitment and failing, but later in the film shows that even though we fail at first and all seems lost, good things can always flourish from failures, we can always get back up.
I have a question if you guys would think it's a bad idea to post this on my youtube channel? Maybe after Heros's purpose is done?
So I have to keep this private for the time being. To apply for film festivals you need the video to be private so that's why there is a password

2021-06-03 19:55:11 +0000 UTCAt first, I like the video a lot. Reminds me to some great experimental animated videos in the earls 2000s, when the technology got more an more affordable for private creators. Posting the video public sounds like a good idea. The big question is: main oder side channel? Like mentioned above, the Youtube algorithm possibly doesn't like it that much on your main channel. It could also be possible that it irritates some of your subscribers, because it doesn't fit into their expectations. On the other hand, a complete new channel has also some disadvantages. Mainly that the algorithm won't push it as much as it would on your main channel. Also if you don't plan to use the channel regularly, the algorithm doesn't like that either. All in all I would prefer to post it on the main channel. Yes, some subscribers will be upset. But these exists every time. And in this case imho your primary question shouldn't be if this video could possibly don't fit the expectations of some people. The more important question to yourself should be, if you want to put yourself and your channel into the lovable but restrictive cage of The Legend of Zelda.

2021-05-19 14:54:25 +0000 UTCI can’t necessarily say how I think the YouTube algorithm would work with content so different what you normally post there, however I’d say that you should post it. It may not perform as well as the channel’s usual content, but I don’t think it would ever hurt to put something new out there for people to see. I think it’s come together very beautifully from the originally storyboards you shared last year. I love the expensiveness you achieved with the TV, and enjoyed the composition plus aspect ratio (tube tv frame) you applied. In general great job all around.

I would just make a whole separate channel, one that is more experimental, this way you won't alienate your hardcore Zelda fans on your main. You could probably get most of your existing fan base to subscribe there too.
