Development Update 57

Hey guys,

We are less than three weeks away from the release date I set for the beta release. So, I am sure you are all wondering how we are getting on. Currently, I have around 60,000 words of dialogue, 700 final renders and a few dozen videos. Of the things I have left to do, I have a few thousands words to write, plus about 300 renders and a handful of videos to capture. All the remaining scenes have been set out in draft. So, I am 90% there, with the bulk of the remaining work being to collect the few hundred or so final images. The vast majority of the code work is done too, and my team is already hard at work on quality control. Therefore, I am in a good position to meet my deadline. However, I am still missing two key scenes and I am not exactly sure how long they are going to take me to make. Plus, in my opinion, the update still needs a fair bit of polish and editing to make it something special. My plan is to really push myself this week and next to try to hit that deadline. However, if I don’t think it’s ready I may need to delay for a week or two. The idea of missing my deadline causes me a great deal of stress and anxiety. However, it would be nowhere near as much anxiety as the idea of releasing an unsatisfying update. So, for the sake of my mental health as much as anything else, I am going to change the August 9th release date from firm to tentative. By the end of this month, I think I should know for sure and I will either confirm the date or delay slightly. In any case, the end is in sight and it won’t be too long now.

The update’s main stars will be Liz and Samantha, with two contrasting but interconnected storylines. Samantha is a diligent and responsible young woman who cares deeply about her professional reputation and how she is viewed by those around her, particularly the headmaster. Samantha’s storyline is, therefore, a slow burn as the headmaster tries to figure out a way to convince her that nudity and sexual contact have their place in the modern work environment. Liz, on the other hand, is a thrill seeker and exhibitionist who loves to show off her body and feeds off the sexual reaction of those around her. Therefore, Liz’s storyline is very hot and heavy right from the get go, with the headmaster at risk of losing his usual composure and self-restraint. The two storylines are linked together at several points, as the headmaster takes advantage of Liz’s exhibitionism to help Samantha adjust to the idea of nudity on campus. On that note, I would like to remind everyone that all of this will be set before Maxine’s fundraiser, as I fully acknowledge I got well ahead of myself with that storyline. 

Apart from the two main story branches, there will also be plenty of enjoyable extras. Lucy gets a scene in the headmaster’s office where she provides a new special service. Plus, there will be some important meta progression for the school as a whole, with the next phase of the group medicals, as well as a new cafeteria uniform and new (semi-public) shower facilities in the kitchen.

So, in summary, a big update is just around the corner. I am working hard to meet the 9th August deadline for the beta release, however, there is a chance I might have to push it back a little. I will make a decision, one way or the other, by the end of next week.
