So, here it is, after a very long slog over the last six months I can finally present version 0.12. This is our biggest ever update with around 1200 images, almost 300 video files, over 15,000 lines of code and somewhere around 65,000 words of dialogue. This update was a real mountain to climb for me in many ways, but I'm happy with the way it turned out and I am confident you guys are going to enjoy it.
Priti is the main star with the bulk of the content comprising her storyline and punishment system. Skip to the next weekday and you will get a short introduction for the update and a brief reminder of what happened previously. There is no need to start a new save and you can always rewatch the old content in the event log/replay menu. Be aware, it will be slightly more complicated to level up Priti than the other girls so be sure to follow the quest log.
I’ve completely overhauled the animations for the punishment system and I’ve added the “red butt effect” for the entire thing. The game will count how many spanks you give and the red slap marks will slowly fade in. You can even use the ointment to take the redness away again. Some people have complained of crashes when switching animations, especially with older computers. If you experience this then please make sure your graphics drivers are up to date.
The other girls with significant content are Charlotte and Harriet as their storylines are tied into Priti’s. There is also a big group punishment scene with naked paddlings for the entire football class. This leads to a new rule allowing the headmaster access to the girl's locker room. To trigger the scene you need to complete the football storyline in chapter 2, have Rachel as your pet and have given Cassandra her public paddling. If you are up to date with the existing content then just teach a football class and the scene will trigger. Once the rule is passed allowing you unrestricted access, just clock on the locker room door to see a half dozen short scenes. I will no doubt add plenty more to this location over time.
I had hoped to include content for Rachel in this update (other than her appearance in the girl's locker room), plus I wanted to add some of the after school training events with Debbie, Amy and Miss Potts. Unfortunately, I did not have enough time to do these storylines justice and so I’m going to hold them back for their own update, which I’ll be aiming to release on a quick turnaround.
Android Users
In theory, you should keep your saves when updating the app but I cannot guarantee it. So please always back up your saves! Saves file are located: android/data/altosandherdone.theheadmaster/files/saves. You’ll need to use an android file manager of some kind. If you get an error saying “app not installed” try deleting your old version first and try again (after backing up your saves!).
Android apps have a maximum 2Gb limit for some devices, meaning I’ve had to reduce the image quality significantly. I also had to remove the Halloween and Christmas specials from this android version. If you want to play the higher quality windows version on your phone or tablet, I recommend using the JoiPlay app. Instructions for how to do so can be found here. It’s looking like I will be unable to keep the file size below 2Gb in the future so 0.12 may be the last version with a .apk file and all Android users will need to use JoiPlay going forward. This is in line with what other developers of similar games are doing.

Favourite bit though is Maxine in the changing room with Lucy in the background. Is this a hint of more events with Lucy (PLEASE!!!!!!!), who by the way is my favourite character, so I'm biased.

Fortunately, this problem only seems to affect a relatively small number but I do need to figure out why it’s happening for some people. In order to create the red butt effect, I had to overlay two video files. Therefore, when you transition to another animation then there are potentially four videos playing at the same time, which I think is when the crashes occur (although, I’ve never been able to replicate the issue myself). Most computers should be able to handle playing several video files simultaneously though so there’s clearly some other problem going on. The Renpy developer thinks that it's down to buggy graphics drivers, so make sure these are up to date for your graphics card. If upgrading your video drivers does not fix the problem, you can consider switching video renderers. There are instructions here: https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/display_problems.html

It's most noticeable on events that have a lot of separate videos. Update on my issue: I can't get through a punishment for Priti without restarting the game multiple times. Update 2: I crashed half a dozen times trying to complete Priti's first punishment. I've found that advancing the text when a video is still starting can cause the game to crash. This means that if you read too fast, the game crashes, and if you have auto-advance on the game can crash. Of course, sometimes the game crashes anyway. I think the video is too much for the engine to handle.

If you are on PC or Mac, press shift and o, then type: amy_punish = True then press enter. Then type gpt = True and press enter again. Press escape and carry on playing. Amy will appear for punishment at the next opportunity.
