Fun Facts Time! - 1. As of right now, while he is important, Gabiru isn't considered one of the Executives of Tempest. His only main non-combat role at this time is growing the Hypokte Herbs and doing some odd jobs for people. 2. The first of MANY festivals to come. 3. This episodes is the first reference in the anime for Slime Diaries of Gabiru's fight with the Death Panda! We get a much earlier and better look at this in the manga, as this is where they got the rice to grow in their farm. 4. The main anime is EXTREMELY more fan servicey than the manga and LN. Shion and Milim are no where near that revealed in other versions. 5. The anime does a poor job of showing scale. For example, Shion is canonically only about 5'6", Shuna is 4'9", King Gazel is also about 5'6" (which is tall for a Dwarf), and both Benimaru and Souei are about 6'. Rimuru's high changes as his human body "matures", or as he gains more power. When he first got it, he was about 3'11". After the Orc Lord was eaten he grew to about 4'3". In the LN, his "natural" human form, based on Shizu, was that of Shizu's when she was about 6 years old. So the stronger Rimuru gets, the "older" his body gets. 6. Shion never does get the title "Purple Empress", but she does get some powerful buffs as time goes on. But that's the spoiler zone, lol. Let's just say this isn't the last time we hear the term "Tyrant" in relationship to Shion. 7. We see more of the best Hobgoblin Chef, Gobichi (the one who made the Takiyaki). 8. We see a lot more of the "octopus" in the anime than we did in the manga. 9. We don't see it much in the main story, but here we see one of Benimaru's great weaknesses, his sweet tooth. Inherited from his and Shuna's father. 10. We don't see directly in the anime, but we do hear about it a couple times, but Shuna and Shion have started a secret sweets loving club, called the Leuge of Sweets. 11. Here we see an "other" side to Treyni. 12. Not sure if it was later retconed in the LN, but originally only female dragonnewts take human forms. But based on how naming works, this isn't always the case. As we see Abiru, Gabiru and Souka's father, can switch between a Lizardman/Dragonnewt and a human form. And its implied Gabiru can too, but he chooses not to because of his pride as a Lizardman/Dragonnewt. 13. Without going into spoilers, Geld actually has a bit of a compext when it comes to using his power because of what happened with his father. At a later point, he is offered a MASSIVE power boost by Rimuru, but at first he doesn't want it, afraid of what might happen to him and his people if he gained that kind of power. Then Rimuru points out it is that introspection that makes him suitable to receive that power up. 14. We see much more of Ranga's 3 packmates in the manga, but we do see them a bit more in this anime. 15. The first of many amazing songs in the Slime Diaries anime! Can't wait for the Christmas episode!

I also love Spring, but the holidays is when I get to see my fam and also I get to email people, "Let's circle back on this after the holidays." To put off work. You are so right. Gabiru is awesome! His little character arc from the time we met him til now is so sweet. I want a Geld OVA where he takes care of that little girl so bad, I just might have to write some fanfiction or something. LOL
