To continue what Cody said: To put it to perspective, Renga was just a normal wolf (with telepathy because that's normal in the world) back then... Now with the evolution from a name he can create f-ing tornadoes and teleport through shadows! The Ogres didn't even had a fraction of the power they have now as Kijin! πππ

2025-07-25 00:22:12 +0000 UTCSo, the comment about a surprise attack on the ogres must've been how they were defeated, you gotta remember that when a monster becomes named, their power grows significantly causing them to evolve along with their abilities. For example Benimaru now has the ability of Black Flame instead of just fire like he did when he first fought Rimiru when they first met. Also, yes they've always had the ability to speak using telepathy, the goblins revealed it early on.
