Happy Friday everyone,
It's been a week since we fully launched AdvancedHockeyStats.com and we really couldn't be happier with the reception and feedback we've received. It's still a work in progress as we work towards adding absolutely all the existing perks + a lot of new ones to the site. Having this platform (and Patrick's coding skills) gives us so, so much more flexibility in terms of what we're able to offer -- in addition to, as I'm sure you've already noticed, massively improving the user experience.
Already in the past week we've added a lot more features to the site that I thought I should highlight for those who might have missed the Twitter posts.
Enhanced Playoff Pages: We've added a head-to-head shot map to the playoff series pages that includes all regular season and post-season contests between the two teams.
Goalie Cards: Long-asked for, goalie cards have been added to the site. Every goalie with more than 75 games played in the past three seasons is represented.
2007 to 2025 Historical Player Cards: One of the perks I was most excited to transfer over to the website, and much-improved by adding the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons. There are over 12,000 of them for over 2,200 players, and you can spend a lot of time looking through them.
We've also given the front page a bit of a visual facelift as well.
So what's next? We have a lot of stuff in mind that we'd like to add, and we'd also like your feedback about what you'd like to see. Here are some things on our list:
Continuing to improve stats available, including on-ice and individual skater numbers for the regular season and playoffs.
Microstat Team Cards
NHL Edge Skating data in easy-to-navigate table form
Microstat Player/Team Cards from prior years
PWHL data
Thanks again to everyone for your support! Please continue to let us know your thoughts on the site, whether it's functionality or features.
