Grimalkin's Test
Added 2023-06-12 14:33:11 +0000 UTCTest is done! (At last! 🎶) I'm going to spend today uploading it and making the print cover. Fun fact: I can't design that cover until I have the print pdf, because the spine changes width depending on number of pages [obviously] and I have yet to find a single calculator online that tells me how wide it'll actually be, so until I upload it, I have no clue. It's a little frustrating, because I like to have everything done before I start the upload process.
I do not yet have Aria, because of a little snafu with the dropcaps in the ebook. Specifically, I had to go with yet another formatter because the first two weren't available, and her epub software makes weird dropcaps, so this will be the first book that just doesn't have any. Which is fine. Really.
Really.
At least the print book will be right. And, y'know, everything else about the ebook.
I've also decided for sure that I'll be writing another Grimalkin book, sometime after I finish the book of LF short stories, and the dragon/kobold book. So, next year, probably. The second book will be called Grimalkin's Court.
Blurb for Test:
When Princess Maria of Bredell is accidentally bitten by a Felis - a magical, shape-shifting cat - she finds that life isn’t quite as boring and predictable as she thought it was. Now she’s stuck in the body of a cat, and Zinnia, the Felis who bit her, has no idea how to turn her back.
Zinnia suggests that the Grimalkin, the Queen of Felis, might know how to reverse the magical transformation, and the two girls set out on a journey across the country that will test their bravery and their growing friendship, as well as reveal entirely unexpected secrets.
