Phantasma: New Work in Progress
Added 2020-01-28 13:04:08 +0000 UTCI‘m back! I can’t tell you how great it is to actually be drawing again. The upside of taking a bit of a break is that I now have a huge backlog of ideas I want to work through, especially for my project Phantasma. I really miss it, so this year I want to make some progress!
I think the main thing that’s been holding me back is that I thought I‘d have to write the complete story first before I could continue painting. But I just prefer to explore it visually instead. Aaaand another thing is that I wasn’t quite ready yet to tackle the complex backgrounds I had in mind. But now I‘ve had a lot more practice and I feel confident enough.

I draw everything in Photoshop, from start to finish. I find it easier to make adjustments and finalise the sketch when I can transform, cut, paste and warp my lines. :)
