Added 2019-02-27 17:26:00 +0000 UTCI’m making more progress on this and I can’t believe that it’s actually turning out the way I imagined it. It so rarely happens!! Ahhh, so exciting!
I’ve been thinking about what kinds of stories I like and I can’t even pin it down to a genre anymore. I think I just need to care about the characters and human relationships. That’s the most essential part for me to get invested in a story. But again, that can be really subjective.
I don’t know if you like hearing me ramble about stuff I read and watch on Netflix, but I guess it all feeds into my art somehow. Let me know. :)

Ok, yesterday I told you how I really enjoyed the show. Well, I did love the first half of it. But then I finished it yesterday and was a little bit disappointed. I was so excited about the concept of Vanya just actually being human, with no crazy abilities. But as soon as she displayed those powers, the ending became very predictable. I immediately knew the broad strokes of what was going to happen. But still, I did love those first few episodes!

2019-02-28 17:31:15 +0000 UTCOMG even better than I imagined!! Didn't anticipate the darkness. I was half expecting a summery scene of green with a waterfall in the background. ^^ And while I agree with the predictability I still enjoyed the second half lots, too. ^^

I love sci-fi and fantasy, but if I don’t care about the characters, I can’t watch/read it. I haven’t watched Umbrella Academy yet. I still want to see it. I peaked far enough into your spoilers to see the 2nd half disapointed you. That’s a bummer. We just finished season 2 of the Dragon Prince and can’t wait until season 3.
