Ramen Shop - Work in Progress

Hello my friends!

I‘ve been working on this drawing for a couple of days now and now the sketch is finally done! I just love these tiny alleys in Japan with their shops and restaurants. Everything looks nice and cozy with flower pots out front. I’ve been wanting to paint something like that for a while.

If everything works out the way I hope I‘ll be tabling at a convention in Japan this year. I can’t wait to visit again. There’s just a ton of stuff I‘d still like to see. And this time I’m going to take nicer pictures with my camera instead of my phone. But that one trip in 2017 has been a constant source of inspiration that I‘m still drawing from.

Apart from work, I‘ve been busy redecorating and rearranging my living room/studio since Christmas. It’s been a lot of fun but I‘m getting to the point where it‘s become quite exhausting. Instead of relaxing on the weekends I end up painting furniture and drilling holes and staining wood and whatnot. But it’s also getting close to being finished. If you’re interested in that, I’m going to share some photos with you and give you a little “studio” tour. I also started repotting my plants and I‘ve gotten a lot better at not killing them. I guess I‘m finally on my way of becoming a crazy plant lady!
