I'm finishing off the 5i Pro game testing video today, it was done with the stock memory which is x16 just like last year.
I've only just been able to get some other x8 DDR5 memory to test with, so we're starting to compare that memory on the 5i Pro today. This will hopefully be a video for next week, I want to know if the difference is as much in games as it was with DDR4. I'm also planning to do a 1 vs 2 stick comparison with DDR5 in the same video, as apparently 1 stick runs in dual channel with DDR5.
The Advanced Optimus video is sponsored content but on a topic I've wanted to cover for a long time anyway, just waiting on various approvals etc before filming begins so hopefully that can get sorted out early enough this week for me to finish it in time. Otherwise it might just be a 1 video main channel week..
Next week my partner and I are going away for a couple of nights to celebrate our 10th anniversary. I'm hoping to still have 2-3 videos for that week, but it will depend on what I'm able to finish up this week - I'll keep you updated in next weeks post :)
Otherwise current laptops on hand that haven't been opened yet now include ASUS Scar 15, Gigabyte Aero 16, and Aorus 17. The Razer Blade 17 has had most of the testing done and same for the Legion 5i Pro.
