After having seen all of the vids from this playlist as they came out, when I arrived I was keen to walk in to the local Lawsons & 7/11 to see what they had on offer, and bring it back to the hotel. Blown away! My local supermarket at home doesn't even have the variety and quality that they do. When I think of my student days, or my most fatiguing days at work now... they'd be seeing me in there a LOT. And then I realized: I DID see a lot of late-night salary people in there, as well. (Navy blue and white business attire at 11:00, browsing the food aisle.) A-ha..! What a customer base: The weary salary person on the way home. Nobody wants to cook at that hour. So, if they want to tap that market, then the food's got to be good, fresh, and reasonably priced. That's my guess. But whatever the case, we all benefit.
