No Tree Yards in Japan

Sometimes the cars have shelters.. often they don't and are just out in the weather. I don't understand that at all. Such a big investment just left in the weather. The new houses have storm shutters too, usually. In the mornings we can hear some being opened by weirdos around the place who close them at night like vampires. :-D

Their cars sit under their own little shelters..... Don't let people or animals walk barefoot on that driveway! Your car has it's own Carport/Maintenance Bay that can make do for the little ones for a larger rainy day activity area. Your old house has the stored storm windows, that are an indicator of weather history, Monsoons bring hail. An owner of a new houses wants to look modern.... do the new windows have storm proofing? The older houses have longer eaves.... shade in summer light in winter. Retractable awnings would serve well, this stuff looks brand new and tacky...... Have your kids asked? "Oi Dad, can we get a cheesy awning like the Jones's?" Cheers Jer

I've just planted some fruit trees into half barrels situated outside my bedroom in a terraced area. These are to provide shade and fruit during the summer months, and I expect there to be leaf fall in the autumn. Perhaps a good idea for these newly built houses in Japan.
