I get you, Brian. 8 years ago was my last visit to Australia. After a couple of weeks I arrived back in Osaka airport.. an airport.. still hours from home.. and felt like I was already home.

2022-05-06 03:03:21 +0000 UTCI'll repeat this a thousand times... My last time arriving in Japan. I was so weary from the flight, but so very happy to be back. I was on the Narita Express, coming into Tokyo. We passed through rice fields, so lush and green after the July rains. I sat there like a jet-lagged traveler, just enjoying the view of what had been going on in that place forever. It was like something out of a Ghibli film. Awesome memory.
