2022-03-06 00:30:13 +0000 UTCI didn't know the ALT job could be summed up to that. I thought about trying a few years ago, but you had to be a native English speaker anyway, if I remember correctly. I think I would have found it fun at first, then get tired of it for the reasons you mentioned. That's really too bad, as that sounds like severely wasted potential as most teachers can't speak English themselves. But knowing how ALT has always been perceived as a temp job, it's amazing that your friend has managed to stay in it for 20 years; not sure how he manages his future retirement, but kudos to him anyway.

2022-03-05 17:37:32 +0000 UTCNo! Not the job described. However I would like to teach English class. After 66 years of life, and some teaching experiences, I think I could make a curriculum and teach to kids of any age. The caveat is, they need to learn at least a little. Serious stuff.
