Patreon April Update

Hello Patrons! Thorgi here with your monthly update on everything going on with the channel and with the Patreon.

Well it's April so that of course means our number one priority this month is getting the big anniversary Build the Roster out. This year we're doing Mortal Kombat Vs Street Fighter in honor of both these games having brand new releases coming out. As for other projects we're working on, last month I got three episodes of our new Fighting Game Spotlight show written as well as a one off special on cut content from Street Fighter games, which should hopefully be coming out in May. 

Now for some unfortunate news that could slow some stuff down on he channel a bit. Last week I got my bank account information stolen by someone stealing my rent check out of the mail and altering it. Now luckily my Bank took one look at the check and said "Yeah that's a forgery, we'll refund your money." And my landlord even said that apparently lots of people in the neighborhood have had their rent checks stolen in the mail recently so they understand and I'm not in trouble or anything. So why am I bringing this up? Because unfortunately it means I have to change all my banking information around, which means the editor I was going to try and hire and the title card art I needed for some upcoming videos are on hold for the time being. Hopefully it all gets resolved this week and I can still get all the stuff made for our upcoming videos that I wanted to, but it may delay some stuff a few weeks.

But now let's talk about what's coming up on the Patreon. We've been doing the tournament to find the four viewer choice games I'll cover on the new Spotlight show and right now we're halfway through the first round of voting.

We almost ran into a problem because two polls were ending in a tie, but this morning I woke up and we got some new Patrons and luckily the tie was broken. I do have an idea of how to hold a tie breaker if it happens again, but glad we didn't have to do it just yet. 

Now as for the second half of this first round, that will start up next week. I don't want to spam your inboxes with updates every single day, I know that can get annoying for some people, so I'll give you all a week before we start up again. 

So that's what the $5 and up Patrons can look forward to, but for the $10 and up Patrons you'll get to see some behind the scenes notes on the next Build the Roster, as well as getting to see the early edits of it. But the Street Fighter Retrospective is starting up in May and I do have some thumbnail art for that ready to go, so I'll share that with you as well.
