From what I see for some of you your gameplay isn’t triggering the locks it needs. The thing is from what I’ve seen it doesn’t happen to everyone, only some of you which makes me think it could be a browser issue. Sometimes it really does just reload an old save instead of a new one regardless because Sugarcube saves it on local storage.

I’ve added a few things to mitigate that from happening. That means I had to overhaul the code once again and refine it. Which means it affects the saves of even those who didn’t have issues, it tells you that the save is aborted. It sucks but it ensures that no one runs into this issue every time I update.

Of course just cause it works for me doesn’t mean it works for everyone. So to make sure you aren’t playing on an old save, to do that in episode 8 there are two texts that tell you if you’re on a new save

Two of these five will show up:

“You are on the Worth route”

“You are on the worthless route”

“You are on the ethical path”

“You are on the corrupt path”

“You are on the amorality path”

If they don’t show up at all, tell me because these are very important stats they affect everything. The Worth text shows up near the beginning of episode 8 and the Moral text shows up during the scene at Lorcan’s house
