12 Facts about SATO ICHIBAN ✨

Here is another character fact for everyone! This one is about Ichiban, he's Yasei-ji, AKA Manda's husband! 

1. He's actually quite unattractive in the LMB world. He's not easy to look at from the perspective of other characters, and they hardly ever gaze at his face. If his children's nanny is unable to bring them up from school, he generally asks Manda to accompany him, and he usually stays in the car while Manda fetches them. He began doing this after frightening the kids in his children's class, and he noticed that the teachers were also uncomfortable around him.

2. When he became a single parent at the age of 16, he dropped out of school. He held a variety of jobs before being dismissed due to his looks. And the positions he could hold frequently required him to work away from people, and they didn't pay much. He joined the yakuza the same year in order to earn more money and provide for his kids.

3. Hiro was the only one who did not treat him differently because of his scars. He was one of the few rookies who failed all of the examinations, but Hiro chose to personally take him under his wing when he discovered he had children. Hiro taught him how to fight and provided him with a position in the syndicate that allowed him to balance his own schedule and spend time with his kids.

4. Ichiban is extremely loyal to the Tanaka family and sees Hiro as a parental figure in his life. He also deeply cared about Sakura as well.

5. He has no contact with his children's mother and has raised them on his own since they were fresh out of the womb.

6. He considers himself to be an orphan, even though his mother is still alive, but he has had no contact with her or his father.   

7. He sincerely loves Yasei-ji, even though he sometimes has no idea why. He just does. Yasei-ji was also one of the few individuals that cared about him, something he really cherishes.

8. Due to his biological mother, he is partially deaf in one ear [only hears in relatively close proximity] and blind in one of his eyes. Manda learned JSL [Japanese Sign Language] to communicate when they aren't close enough for him to read his lips, or hear him. This is also one of the reasons he doesn't speak much. If he isn't careful, he might talk very loudly, which in some situations could be seen as rude.

9. He adores beaches, and when he has a day off from work, he usually spends it with his children at the beach or in nature, away from the city. However, if it's too hot, it's uncomfortable for him, and his scars usually feel painful.

10. He doesn't mind if Yasei-ji takes control and would rather avoid attempting to control him in the first place; he's not particularly aggressive with Yasei-ji, and most members of the syndicate refer to him as a "people-pleaser." If Yasei-ji instructs him to "shut up" or "be quiet," he usually complies. He perceives it as a command and obeys it.

11.  He has severe PSTD and regularly has night terrors, but when Yasei-ji allows him to sleep over and they sleep in the same room or bed, they don't happen as often. He hopes they could move in together one day, but understands that Yasei-ji loves his space and can only tolerate children.

12. He's extremely protective and may be sensitive to unpleasant remarks, although he normally ignores them or doesn't hear them most of the time.
