If Ren lives…that’s trouble (especially since his dad is a politician) because he’s so identifiable. IF things do get out of hand I think that his parents would do what they can to keep him out of jail. Being their only child works in Goro’s favor in this instance. But their idea of taking care of things would probably be moving Goro (forcibly) outside of the country. A total rebrand. Meaning the separation of him and Shoto. Which opens up a whole other can of worms. Hiro worms.
