Everything that happened, including Hideki asking Enji if Shoto and Goro have always been that close after Sho grabbed Goro’s hand happened within like 3 hours. Maybe he doesn’t want to assume, he’s just now seeing it, and from his POV Goro has a girlfriend and is straight so he wouldn’t believe that Goro is cheating on Hina. Hideki also didn’t know Goro was going to see Sho, Goro just said he was in the neighborhood and Hideki asked him to drop off Sho’s notebook on his way. About the Karaoke friends can give friends rides home, that could be his thought process. He seems genuinely oblivious. To me atleast!

Everyone standing around asking whether or not it’s true that Shoto started it when that could be discussed later. Shoto was literally on the ground and bruised. Priorities people! Lmao I like Hideki (actually find him really fun and caring) but I do question whether or not his obliviousness to Shoto and Goro’s connection is real or not. Idk it almost feels like he doesn’t want to know or acknowledge it. Goro going to Shoto’s late at night, Shoto holding Goro’s hand on the court, Goro telling him not worry about Shoto (the karaoke). We all know Goro gets a lil jealous when it comes to Hideki and Shoto but Hideki’s obtuseness to S+G’s relationship to is confusing. To me at least.

Of the team, Enji and Hideki *know* that Ren has it out for Shoto and yet no one like, hey let us physically check on our friend and team strategist. I am *especially* side eyeing Hideki. Bruh you’re supposed to be his best friend. And you only check on Shoto when Goro comes to the rescue. Mess!

I love that his killer persona is his conscience and finds sweet Shoto precious. That was a really cool scene. I’m also super happy that we got to see daddy Saitama lol. I really enjoyed that panel too because you can see the “oh shit” expression in Saitama’s face. I’m curious as to how he would calm Goro down. Not sure how Ren will be dealt with. Love how both Goro and Shoto are always concerned for each other and their feelings rather than themselves. This chapter was so good like always and really getting more of the picture of the relationship dynamic between Goro and baby Sho.
