Still not totally sure on these colours, 'cause I really like winter light but whenever I try to translate that into something cartoony, it comes across as drab. Not sure how to make fuzzy warm coloured characters look radiant yet cold. It's weird "finishing" doodles by colouring them "fully" since that can clash with the simplistic, flat, loose lines.

Also by making a piece look finished, one may assume everything in the drawing is a conscious decision, rather than the stream of consciousness that it is. There's no reason for the jealous stag to be wearing a cross necklace, other than maybe that it's funny that Saint Nick's beasts of burden have put the other Christian leader first in their hearts, despite their literal master also being an icon of Christmas. Also the the deer having the capacity of thought for faith and cultural structure, while fawning for sexual dimorphism so blatantly is quite funny. This is all rationalisation for a daft doodle, but it's in preparation for "Christians aren't cucks!" At the same time I'd like to explore biology vs. culture as a theme, and anthropomorphism is great for that (it's shit as a metaphor for racism; I wish the Californians will stop doing that)

Anyway, now I know what trite to put next to a drawing if I bother exhibiting any of it (I wont).
