winter walk
Added 2020-12-30 17:49:24 +0000 UTCMy attempt to "remember" the surreal colours I saw during a walk til I got back.
I started by picking the most neutral part of the view (to me that would be the middle of the sky there) and radiating outwards from that point making relative judgements in the change of hue; "oh, it's getting more pinky-orange towards the sun, more blue towards the horizon, etc. etc.". Not sure if that's the way you're supposed to see colour, but it's difficult to be an "absolute" colour see-er and not a "relative" colour see-er.
It's about 60% there, not nearly as strange as it looked in real life. Despite the orange sunlight, everything looked strangely flat, like those bad colour correction jobs that bring up the shadows way too much.

Got a nice script draft from a friend now yet there's a lot I'm not getting out of the characters and situations that I feel I should be getting. I'm a horrendous writer, but I know what isn't working, so I'll be having another crack at that. For now, I'm using the Xmas hols to get some gear fixed by Dad in exchange for setting up IT stuff etc.
