Weekly dev log

Hey everyone, it's time for another dev log.

First of all, I hope you're all having a great weekend. Here in the North East of NA the weather is getting pretty nice, so the family and I have been enjoying the first burst of summer like weather. The sounds and smells of summer are upon us and it has reinvigorated me in a lot of ways. I think I might be one of those people that suffers from that Seasonal depression thing during the winter months. Who knows for sure, but I definitely feel more upbeat and happy lately.

I'm about 70% done the renders and coding for chapter five. I haven't accomplished as much as I'd like this week due to my Mother being in the hospital. I've been spending a few hours per day there so that has caused me to lose a bit of time that I would normally have to work on the game. She's doing a lot better now so she should be out of there soon and things can go back to normal.

This chapter is looking pretty nice so far and I think the scenes you'll see will have a bit more mass appeal compared to the last chapter. We'll see Luke and Kathryn get into some fun situations, with all the scenes having a more light hearted tone compared to chapter four. I'm hoping to wrap up the renders by the middle of June and first release by the end of June. I'm hoping I can make it sooner than that but we'll see how things go. It's so hard to predict these things, so it'll be done when it's done.

I want to give a big thanks to the three people that have gifted me something from my Throne wish list. I honestly was sure no one would bother with it and rightly so as the items on there are very expensive. I received several messages from people asking me to make something like that so I figured why not? I just want you all to know that buying me stuff is not necessary at all and it's not a case where if I don't have this stuff that game development will suffer. It's simply a way to help me reach my goal of getting all the gear that I would like to have sooner than I would be able to normally. Again, thank you so much for being patrons first and foremost. It is more than enough for me to fund this project. But if you are someone that has disposable income and you'd like to help me create my ideal setup for creating the game, then it is greatly appreciated.

Next month I will release the first short story for the game. This will be a little side adventure for a little bit of extra fun. The first episode will feature Kathryn, and I will do a poll to decide who will appear in future episodes. Hopefully this will add a bit more value to being a patron of this project.
