I don’t think I’ve ever said this before, but in Alan’s defence, I do think he is slightly correct about Asian families leaving food out longer than the whites. My boss was from a small town in Southern India and his wife always very generously cooked for us. They said with the amount of spice, acidity, and salt used in their dishes it acted like a preservative that would prevent it from spoiling. Since rural areas didn’t always have consistent electrical refrigeration it was a necessary way of preparing food. Ended up making it taste bomb as hell tho. Moral of the story is bland white people food needs to be refrigerated bc not enough flavour to preserve it 🤷🏻♀️
