General Update, TT holdups, Redraws, GRRRR

TT has been taking longer than I wanted it to. All these dang running poses! In the meantime, here's another wip --
While I was procrastinating / waiting on help from my gf, I started the next redraw, which believe it or not is also giving me trouble. I'm working on "Psyched Out," which won the poll that I did here on the patreon a few weeks ago.
The problem is, I just don't LIKE it.

Something about it is just not doing it for me. It feels inferior to the original somehow.
I thought maybe it was the background, so I tried reusing the backgrounds from the original:
But, no, I still hate it.
I'm feeling really frustrated... Maybe I should just leave it alone? Maybe it doesn't need to be redone? I've already spent hours on this.
What do you guys think?
