I don't lose at all. both formats have their own perks, for instance in a vertical format I can put a pause between panels in a form of empty scroll space to show time passing or to transition between scenes. it can actually add a lot to the storytelling. On the other hand, comic pages are really good for really nice wide shots which is something that gets lost in a vertical format.

I really enjoy seeing the wips. A great window into the process! Really highlights your choices in framing, perspective, and panel arrangement. I don't know much about comic art, but I imagine you lose a lot of the flow by trying to squish it into scrolling format.
