Season 19 Logo WIP reveal

Hi folks, I hope you're as excited about Season 19 dropping on Monday as I am!

I've been working hard on not just the episodes (19.1 is recorded, 19.2 is written, the whole season's planned out), but also the logo. Here is a work in progress look at my efforts so far:

As you may know, for the last few seasons I've been illustrating the show myself, after my rockstar illustrator, carlh.com, became too busy (he deserves all his success!). Learning vector illustration has been EXTREMELY rewarding for me, and I urge anyone who fancies it to try out the free and open source inkscape.org. I've heard (and can believe) that many professionals prefer it to Adobe Illustrator! I learned from youtube tutorials, mostly.

I'm REALLY pleased with how this artwork is going. I have lots of tweaks to make still, the biggest is to make the ship look way, way more broken!

You may note some strong influences here. I figured that if I'm going to steal everything else from Welcome To Night Vale, I might as well steal the colour palette for this season, too!
