Jaune's Pineapple Jam Part 2 Ch 5

Meeting the parents.

Weiss Schnee never ever thought she would be intimidated facing such a challenge.

After all, she was the heiress of her house.

If anyone was to be intimidated then it would be the ones meeting her and her family.

So when she saw Jaune’s tall frame and mop of blonde hair in the sea of blonde, she called out without hesitation.

“Jaune?!”

Excitement and nervousness blended with Weiss’ voice and judging by Blake’s taut body beside her, she was feeling the same thing.

After all, who wouldn’t be excited and nervous after not seeing their boyfriend for a few months?

It was only when all eyes snapped towards her did Weiss understand how wrong she was about not being intimidated.

She could see Jaune looking at her but as much as she wanted to run towards him, his family’s gaze stopped her dead in her tracks.

They looked like lions catching prey with their sharp eyes and predatory smiles. She couldn’t help but gulp even as she saw Pyrrha breathe in relief at her presence.

Uncharacteristic shyness suddenly pierced through her body and frantic thoughts immediately ran through her mind at lightning speeds.

Would they like her?!

What would they say about her relationship with Jaune?!

What would they say about her relationship with Blake and Pyrrha?!

There was a moment when time froze and Weiss was sure she was about to be mobbed with squeals like Pyrrha was, but a voice broke through the silence.

“Weiss?”

Despite saving her from her current predicament, horror rushed through Weiss as she recognized the voice.

She turned around and there she was, her mother, Willow Schnee.

Her hair was frazzled, and her clothes were slightly wrinkled, but it was undoubtedly, Weiss’ mother.

Weiss immediately froze up.

How?! How was her mother here?! Why was she here?!

So complete was the horror and shock rushing through her body that she couldn’t even utter a word even as her mother looked worriedly at her.

Meeting Jaune’s family? It was daunting, sure, but it was at least doable.

Them meeting her mother however? It was world-ending.

Her only saving grace right now was that her mother wasn’t currently drinking herself out of a bottle. Though judging from previous experiences, it was only a matter of time before she shamed their family again by showing everyone just how much of a drunkard she was.

Only this time, Jaune’s family would be there to witness it.

Weiss moved to open her mouth, either to reprimand her mother or deny association with her wholesale, but before she could even utter a single word, another voice surprised them all once again.

“Willow?”

Eyes snapped back towards another direction and all of them gawked as they beheld the source of the sound.

Mr. Arc, Jaune’s father, was looking at her mother and judging by the look on his face, they were more than common acquaintances.

His face spoke of awe, disbelief, and just a little bit of fondness that Weiss couldn’t help but gawk uncomfortably at.

Mr. Arc knew her mother?!

How?! Why?! When?!

Everyone slowly turned to her mother to see her reaction at that but all they saw was a gentle tilt of her head as a frown crept up her face.

“I’m sorry, who are you again?”

The silence that echoed was loud, and then everyone watched as Mr. Arc suddenly grasped his chest in pain.

Laughter barked out of Yang’s mouth before Weiss’ own hands snapped up to cover it but it was too late, the damage was already done.

Mr. Arc looked at them with an embarrassed smile on his face and Weiss could only blush in shame while Yang continued to chuckle through her fingers as the man’s own daughters joined in.

Was he disappointed? Mad? Angry?

Was her chance with Jaune already shot down before it could even truly start?

Was all their relationship going to be a few rounds of sexual relief a few months ago?

Weiss' heart threatened to thrum out of her chest at that and then crumble.

Luckily for her, Mr. Arc made no effort to speak to her and instead shook his head and looked at her mother.

“Willow, it’s me, Nicholas.” He said as he brought his hands up to pull his hair backward.

Weiss blinked at that and her hands fell to her sides as she got to thinking.

Nicholas? Just like her grandfather?

She turned to her mother again just to see her reaction but her eyes widened as she watched Willow Schnee gasp in shock.

“Nicky?!”

Nicky? NICKY?!

Weiss goggled at the nickname. Just what was their relationship that her mother would call Mr. Arc by a nickname?!

Questions, questions, and she wasn’t the only one who had them.

“Did she just call dad Nicky?”

“Yes, Jaune, yes she did.”

“Aren’t you supposed to be bald?!”

This time, Jaune and her sisters themselves couldn’t help but snicker at their father.

Weiss finally took the time to observe Mr. Arc. He wasn’t ugly by any means, in fact, Weiss would even go so far as to call him ruggedly handsome. He was tall, muscled, and with the way he stood, Nicholas Arc looked like a man who was sure of himself.

That didn’t stop him from being embarrassed however and Weiss watched as the man awkwardly rubbed the back of his head.

The resemblance had never been more uncanny as the action reminded Weiss of her own blonde doofus.

This time however, the embarrassed look was not aimed at her. It was aimed at her mother.

“It was actually your father’s idea. He said it was a safety precaution so that your family’s enemies don’t recognize me and my father after we go home.”

“I think it worked a little too well. I hardly recognized you!” Her mother giggled and Weiss could only gawk as she heard the sound.

Giggled!

Weiss didn’t even know her mother was capable of making the sound when she wasn’t drunk!

Yet here she was, giggling straight towards Jaune’s father.

Heat rushed to Weiss’ cheeks at that and she couldn’t help but have a palm meet her face as she shook her head.

This was just plain embarrassing.

Nevertheless, it was a blessing.

She didn’t want to think about what was going on with her mother and frankly speaking, other than the initial surprise and secondhand embarrassment, Weiss didn't care.

Not when this could be her chance.

With their parents busy with one another, Weiss wanted to make a break for it. Her eyes sought Jaune immediately but instead of finding him looking at her, she found the half of the Arcs staring at her while the rest looked at her mother

No…..

There was to be no escape.

“AHEM!” Mrs. Arc coughed loudly, jolting Weiss out of her thoughts even as the woman stared straight into her husband.

Nicholas Arc and Willow Schnee both froze at the sound and with rapidly paling faces, turned to the woman who now had a smile with too many teeth on her face.

Nicholas Arc laughed loudly and awkwardly as he waved a hand to his wife beside him.

“So, Willow! This is my wife, Juniper!”

Weiss cringed at the grin Mrs. Arc aimed at her mother.

“Hi! It’s nice to finally meet you, Willow! Nicky here told me all about you!”

Weiss saw her mother pale and wince slightly at that before smiling shakily at Jaune’s mother.

“All good things, I hope?”

In response, however, Mrs. Arc only smiled silently before tilting her head to her children.

“Have you met our children yet?”

“Well, I am aware of one of them.” Willow answered with a nod, looking straight at Jaune to Weiss’ own embarrassment.

“Silly me, of course you are! Just like how we are aware about one of your own daughters.” Mrs. Arc laughed, staring straight at Weiss and causing her to blush even as she and Jaune exchanged a look awkwardly.

“Ah, yes. My daughter, Weiss.” Her mother answered, and Weiss could only cough bashfully even as she shakily bowed her head to Jaune’s parents.

“H-Hello. Pleasure to meet you!” Weiss greeted politely before turning towards her mother with wide eyes to finally address her for the first time since Weiss left her home. “Mother, what brings you here?”

Her mother only raised an eyebrow at her however, and it did not take a genius to realize that Weiss was the reason in the first place. She flushed red at that. There was nothing she could say or do to deny it, not when she herself knew just why her mother would come here.

Throughout all these months, she had endeavored not to answer any calls from home or the company. It was no wonder someone would come to talk to her themselves. Weiss just never thought it would be her mother. A representative perhaps, Whitley even, or maybe even her mother.

But her mother who was constantly drunk under the bottle?

Inconceivable.

Alas, she was here and right in front of Jaune’s family as well.

Weiss could only smile brokenly at that but before anybody could say anything else, another voice cut through the conversation.

“Mother!”

Now things were just getting ridiculous because right there behind her mother was Weiss’ own sister, Winter Schnee.

“I told you, you can’t just run off to Vale to get a-”

Winter paused, finally taking note of the people around them even as their mother blushed in shame at being berated by her own daughter in public.

Weiss tried to avoid her sister’s gaze but it was too late.

“Weiss.” Winter greeted, her eyes widening ever so slightly even as Weiss squirmed uncomfortably.

One would be forgiven for thinking that Winter looked calm, cool, and collected but Weiss knew better. Judging by the flare of her nose and the slight tightening in her jaw, Winter’s greeting to her would be a lot more passionate had they been in private.

And who could blame her?

The last time Weiss saw Winter….well, she was caught in a compromising position that led to her sister passing out.

Heat rushed through Weiss’ cheeks and straight down her loins as she remembered the circumstances that led to such an event to happen.

She remembered riding Jaune and her cervix immediately throbbed at the reminder of his cock head repeatedly knocking into it.

All Weiss could do was blush and squirm awkwardly.

Thankfully, Winter said nothing regarding their last meeting and Weiss was spared from having to explain how such a situation came to be to Jaune’s family.

“Winter.” Weiss nodded back even as Winter’s eyes roamed the other people around them.

The moment her eyes landed on Jaune, Weiss feared her sister’s reaction.

The last time they were interacting together, Winter was trying to kill Jaune. Hopefully Winter would find it in her heart to restrain herself today now that Jaune’s family was here.

Yet as Winter looked at the brood of blonde people beside Jaune, she only had one thing to say.

“Good Gods, he’s multiplied.”

Omake: The Adventures of Nicky and Willow Pt. 1.

55 AG, Solitas.

Willow Schnee departed the Schnee manor after her 18th birthday on a bullhead.

As far as birthdays go, it was very unusual, especially when she only had a pilot and a guard with her.

And yet, for the heiress of her father’s company, Willow thought it was fitting considering that she was travelling towards one of her father’s mining camps.

“Are you sure about this, ma’am?!”

The pilot’s voice rang through her ears but Willow only nodded determinedly.

“I’m sure! Since my father is sick, it falls to me as his heiress to see to any problems his company is facing!”

Unsaid was the fact that she needed to do this herself.

To prove to her father that she could take care of the company without needing to marry a man.

For Brothers’ sakes, she just turned 18 and already people were approaching her father for her hand!

Thank the Gods her father did not promise her to anyone just nilly-willy but still, he seemed to have his own favorite candidates.

Chief among them was a man named Jacques Gele.

He was unassuming, cautious, and cool in the face of pressure, overall he seemed like a man who could take care of her father’s wealth, especially now that his health was starting to turn for the worst.

Willow bit her lip at that.

She knew for a fact that her father’s early years prospecting for a mine and working inside the first ones himself took a toll on his body. Add to that the stress of all the work before, during, and after the Faunus Wars, it was all but certain her father would be sick.

She just didn’t think that his health would be failing so soon.

No, who was she kidding?

Her father was already 65 years old.

And while Jacques Gele seemed nice and all considering that he was working for her father, Willow wanted to carry the company herself to make her father proud.

If only she was born a man-

Willow shook her head.

There was no use trying to think of things outside her control, instead, she should think about what she could do with what lay ahead.

Which, now that she was thinking about it, gave her shivers along her spine.

“We’re here, ma’am!”

Willow jolted at that and she looked out the window to see people scurrying about near the landing zone they were about to descend on.

Camp Omega, one of the last camps her father established by himself. It was situated on the bottom of a cliff and Willow could see a large opening leading to a deeper cavern.

“You should relax.”

Willow snapped towards the source of the voice and she stared at her one and only guard.

A bald man named Nicky.

He was supposed to be a Huntsman and her father seemed to trust his family but Willow did not know him.

Aside from his bored smile and calm blue eyes, all Willow could discern from him was that he didn’t want to be here.

Willow huffed at that.

“I supposed someone like you wouldn’t know how to take things seriously.” She crossed her arms, leaning back on her seat as she stared at the man across her.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Nicky raised an eyebrow at that but Willow only waved a hand towards him.

Frankly speaking, there was nothing wrong about him. He had his sword in its sheathe attached to his side, and he was seating relaxedly right in front of her but Willow wasn’t going to say that.

Instead, she said this.

“Your shoes are untied, you have a crease on your collar, and you haven’t even shaved your beard yet. Where’s your cleanliness? Your grooming? Your sense of professionalism?”

Nicky’s eyes widened and his hands immediately went to his peach fuzz, a pathetic attempt at a beard really, even as he tilted his foot to look at his boots.

“Okay, number one, my shoes are not untied. Number two, this crease you speak of? It does not exist. And number three, what’s your problem with my beard, princess?” He answered back, casually narrowing his eyes at her even as she hissed at him.

“It is heiress, not princess, and number one, I was checking to see if you were aware of your grooming. And number two?” Willow leaned forward, reaching a hand up to fix his collar as she looked at him meaningfully. “The crease is over here.”

Nicky’s eyes widened and a smirk crawled up Willow’s face as she saw him gulp nervously. She was aware of the effect she had on men and she was not above to using her wiles to get what she wanted and right now, she wanted to break this man’s bored facade.

After all, she expected any man working for her to always be at attention at the appropriate times.

“A-And the beard?” He stuttered, looking at her with wide eyes.

Willow let the smirk linger before leaning back and saying three words that always gets men riled up.

“It is pathetic.”

He bristled, rearing up and leaning forward to point a finger straight at her.

“Hey! Don’t knock it till you try it, princess!”

“No, Mr. Guard. I will not be trying your beard.” Willow rolled her eyes at that before crossing her legs as she smirked at the man in front of her. “It would be quite unseemly, don’t you think?”

Credit where credit was due however, other than a twitch on his brow, the man made no moves to make his discomfort known.

“I have a name.” He replied flatly but Willow only scoffed at him.

“A name I do not know.”

“It is Nicholas A-”

His mouth clenched shut from saying anything else before his eyes narrowed as a frown formed on his face.

Willow only raised an eyebrow at that.

“I am not calling you Nicholas. It is my father’s name.”

“Then you can call me Nicky just like everyone else, princess.”

They huffed at each other, even crossing both their arms and looking away at the same time to Willow’s consternation.

Willow would never understand her father insisting this man be her personal guard.

It would’ve made more sense if he was one of the candidates for her hand but judging by his lack of business knowledge, Willow thought it unlikely.

Clearly Nicky was only meant to be her personal guard. She just wished he was a lot more professional about it.

And so they sat there, silent as the bullhead shook as it finally landed on the ground.

It wasn’t until the bullhead’s door was pulled open from the outside did they finally agree on something.

“”WHAT?!”” They shouted, surprising the man who was supposed to greet them.

“W-Welcome to Camp Omega, ma’am.” The man stuttered nervously and finally, Willow and Nicky looked at each other again.

Say what she will about Nicky however, but it seems he took his duty seriously.

He pushed the man away from the bullhead and climbed out first. His eyes scanned the surrounding and after finding no other threat to her person other than the cold wind, he nodded towards her.

“I apologize for the rudeness. Things have just been stressful lately.” She smiled politely, getting out of the bullhead as she looked at the man who was supposed to guide them.

“Y-You can say that again.” The man laughed nervously, not really knowing what to say to someone of her station even as he led them deeper inside the camp. “Now come on, the Mine Director is over here.”

Willow kept a soft smile on her face, exuding grace and professionalism, even as she felt men from all around them look at her.

It must be strange seeing someone like her in the middle of a mining camp but if she wanted to lead her father’s company, then they better get used to it.

She, as well, for despite the unbothered demeanor she was putting out, this was the first time she would be out in the field without any real supervision. Combined with the pressure to live up to her father’s legacy, Willow Schnee was definitely a nervous wreck on the side.

She was jolted out of her thoughts however when a loud sneeze rang out beside her.

Nicky shivered, stepping beside her even as she tried to stifle a chuckle.

“Cold already, Mr. Guard?”

“Y-You Atlesians, I’ll never understand how you handle this cold.” He replied, his teeth chattering even as the man guiding them laughed and relaxed ever so lightly.

“Having hair on your head helps, lad.”

Nicky rolled his eyes at that. “I-It’s not like I wanted to be here with my head shaved.”

Willow couldn’t stop the laugh that escaped her lips at that and she watched as their guide’s eyes gleamed warmly at her.

She’d have to thank Nicky later for being an unwitting sacrifice to warm the mood but it would have to wait for it only took a  few moments later for them to enter a small building with people milling inside.

Willow winced at the harsh white fluorescent light hitting her eyes but she immediately schooled her expression as she scanned the room.

Rows of cubicles lined the room even as people walked along the aisles between them.

Men stopped for a moment to stare at her but they all slowly resumed to work as they heard a voice shouting.

“What do you mean there’s another collapse?! That’s the fourth time this week!”

Their guide cringed, looking at her apologetically as he nodded towards the source of the sound.

“That’s the Mine Director. You go in, ma’am. I have a feeling he’d be much more welcoming to you than to me.”

Willow nodded, breathing deeply before slowly walking forward. Her back was straight, her head was high, it was as if Willow owned the room with the confidence she managed to project.

She released her breath however when she came face to face with a broad-chested old man.

“Director.” She said, her voice steely, surprising her as much as it surprised the man she called out to.

In a male-dominated field such as mining, it must have been surprising to have an 18-year-old girl call out to you authoritatively.

Yet Willow Schnee did not need any introduction. Her  striking white hair was recognizable enough for everyone to know who she was.

“Willow Schnee, I presume?” The man offered a hand with a stern face.

“Yes, and you are?” Willow shook the man’s hand, tilting her head as the man gave her a strained smile.

“Gunn. James Gunn.”

James Gunn.

Somehow, the name felt fitting for a director but Willow had a feeling that James Gunn would appreciate it more if he was a director of a different kind.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you. I heard you’ve been having some problems.”

Director Gunn’s eyes widened at that.

“Oh no, ma’am. No problems he-”

Bzzzt!

“Collapse at E300! I re-kchack!”

Willow raised an eyebrow as a radio attached to Gunn’s belt sputtered out.

The sigh that left the man’s mouth was full of shame and tiredness that Willow couldn’t help but smile sympathetically.

His hand met his face before his eyes peeked through in between his fingers.

“Apologies, we didn’t want to trouble you about this.”

“It is no trouble. It is my duty as my father’s heir to see to problems like this. So tell me, Director Gunn, what’s the problem?” She smiled politely.

Director Gunn, for his part, smiled wryly back at her. “Right, I should have expected you Schnees would be right on top of things like this immediately. You got that from your father at least.”

Willow preened proudly at the comment. To be likened to her father was the highest form of compliment a man could give her.

Still, Willow knew an evasion when she saw one.

She knew what she looked like. She looked like an 18-year-old know-it-all elitist and no man wanted to be shown up by such an 18-year-old.

“The problem, Director?” She asked again with a raised eyebrow and a knowing smile on her face.

Director Gunn deflated but ultimately gave her a begrudging look of respect. Credit where credit was due however, he was forthright with the details and made no attempt to deflect again.

“Right, it started two weeks ago but we’ve been having some tunnels collapse on us on the lower levels.”

Willow watched as Director Gunn led her to his own computer to show a map of the mine. Tunnels looked like roots as Willow noted how deep they dug and branched through underground.

“Any casualties?” She asked, noting some tunnels were already restricted on the map.

“None so far. We have had the occasional miner trapped or cut off but we've designed the tunnels to intersect with one another. It might take longer for them to get back to the surface but they only need to find a route to do it instead of waiting for rescue.”

Willow breathed a sigh of relief at that before turning back to Director Gunn with a serious look on her face.

“Thank the Gods for that. What do you have for me, Director Gunn? Do you have an idea of what might be causing these collapses?”

Director Gunn grunted at that.

“At first, we thought it was because of a dense concentration of Gravity Dust under us but the incidents have been moving closer and closer to the surface. It could be that the surrounding rock itself contains scattered amounts of Gravity Dust. The collapse you heard earlier, Tunnel E300, is the nearest one to the surface so far.”

Willow noted the depth. 300 meters.

That was deep but with mines sometimes being more than thousands of meters, Willow could see why the director would label it close to the surface.

“Solutions? Suggestions?” She asked but Director Gunn shook his head disappointedly.

“None as of now. We’d have to go there to check the damage first and see how they compare to the previous incidents but so far, we have only been trying to shore up our mine supports.”

Right, it seemed simple enough.

Investigate the area, make sure no one was hurt, and perhaps prioritize mine safety when they get back.

Perhaps expanding the mine itself and upgrading the materials would be sufficient?

It might be more costly but for the price of saving a life? It was no contest.

Besides, if the board disagreed, Willow could say that if there really was a dense concentration of Gravity Dust under them like Director Gunn said, then it was also financially worth it.

Willow breathed deeply at that.

That’s right. In to the mine and out right back out of it.

What’s the worst that could happen?

(1 hour later.)

“”GRIMM!!!””
