Liv Doyle is the best investigator at Hartnell Inquiries. She's paid her dues, earned her rep, and knows exactly what she's worth: the sumptuous corner office that just opened up. It was supposed to be hersβuntil the computer guy staked a surprise claim.
As someone who had always respected Livβs work, Edgar Sharp was shocked to find out that she didn't know his name. Worse, she thought he was the computer guy! That was going to cost her the office of her dreams.
Turning their new rivalry into a competition, the eccentric Mr. Hartnell partners them to solve a lucrative industrial sabotage case. But just when their irresistible attraction tempts the agents to go from undercover to under covers, a dark mastermind enacts a plan with lethal consequences.
Wow, we're a long way from fantasy.
Romantic thrillers have their own conventions when it comes to cover design, so I hope you like my take. It was fun to stretch my wings (metaphorically, since no one has wings in this full-on human/human contemporary π).
As I stated before, OD will fill in on weeks when I don't update Sunglasses in the Rain. You could say it will be running...opposite.

2024-10-03 20:05:18 +0000 UTCI think what would be an awesome concept for a story is similiar to your superhero short with a FMC as the super and the guy as a regular dude. With the setting being around where they meet and get to know one another but he doesn't know she's a supe and as they get along all of the villians assiocated with her find out about him and try to go after him to use as leverage against her to try and get rid of her once and for all. Think going towards the same kind of personalities you used for Joe and Charlotte in terms of where she's reluctant in involving herself with him because of her cape background. But all their interactions with one another evolve to a point where she's being selfish for herself for once and wants to make it work with him. Can go towards something similar to Lois and Clark where they work at the same job, interact with one another while she's in her superhero persona and he get suspicious of her because of the similarities between the caped version of her and the civillian version shes hiding behind of ontop of the random disappearing acts that happen everytime during the job or any kind of social events between FMC and MMC because of some imminent threat happening around their vicinity. π« Love your work! Looking forward to the new story you got cooking up and how the rest of SITR goes. π―
