Monster Episode 12 Reaction

You guys are catching on to a recurring theme in the show: that Tenma is capable of bringing out the best in the people he encounters whereas Johan is capable of bringing out the worst. You need to understand that if Tenma hesitates so much to kill Hartmann even though he is such a horrible person it is because Tenma finds it as hard to kill someone as Johan finds it easy. And it is because Tenma is how he is that he is the only one who ultimately "stands a chance" against Johan.

i’ve commented this before, but since you guys mentioned venturing into a shorter show i highly recommend “orb, on the movements of the earth” on netflix. it’s a perfect, complete story within 24 episodes or so and has some of the best character writing i’ve seen in modern anime. i think you guys would enjoy it a ton :p

I forgot that along with the patreon giving me early access to LM's reactions, I also get the exclusive Robert H additional content & education.

I don't know how far you are, but you should watch 15-17 together!

I had already discussed the reunification of East and West Germany in episode 10, and touched on the Torgau children's home and the GDR's state security apparatus in episode 11. But this episode once again highlights how heartlessly the GDR leadership treated political opponents. Taking children away from dissidents and placing them in so-called “re-education camps” is yet another example of the regime’s inhumanity. These weren’t just disciplinary institutions, they were tools of repression, designed to punish not only individuals, but their entire families. The psychological damage inflicted on children, the real experiments they did on them, simply because their parents opposed the regime, is hard to comprehend and even harder to forgive. You should pick 12 episode Fleabag if you haven't watched it yet

It’s the closest (which doesn’t say much) anime to this that they have watched.

Yeah I generally agree. There are moments that call for a cool head instead of aimlessly running around and needlessly tire yourself out. It was a really funny reaction tho lol

10:11 Respectfully, what else did you expect him to do lol? Just run around in the streets of Prague with the hope of finding them? Often times in this instances it's better to remain as calm as possible and assess the situation rationally to determine the best course of action, figure out what you can do for the moment. Just panicking and hurrying for the sake of hurrying rarely achieves anything.

Damn why is it always Death note catching shade lol I get is not a perfect anime and it has some issues but I feel the comparison between those two animes is a bit unfair.. that’s just me lol

this was 47 minutes but it went by so fast !! also lol I love how heated you guys get in the moment but you actually understand the decisions the show/characters make after it all, its so refreshing. also!!! yesss the fact we don't get to know Johan at all except for everyone else's view on him is so good

Maria Silva

I'm so glad you guys are enjoying the show this much and can feel the tension and frustration. Also, It's been a while since I've been on your patreon, but after I found out you guys were finally watching this, I had to come back for at least one month.

Komikall
