Cowboy Bebop Episode 23 Reaction

Cowboy Bebop Episode 23 Reaction

Comments

episode seemingly was a typical cult bs then at the end turned it into some bleak black mirror depressingly sad twist.

Aww having young Madara as a pfp is so cute

I have been waiting for pluto since it was out and you never put it in a poll lol so i hope you will consider it this time. It's only 8 episodes, the story is great and it's perfect for reactions. The reviews would be so good. Orb is also a must watch. It's such a beautiful show you'll love it. I wish people would recommand it to you like everyone did with frieren haha but hey i know there is interest i see comments on ytb from time to time.

Neon Genesis Evangelion would be one of the last old anime classics, that got many votes in the last Short Anime Strawpoll: https://imgur.com/a/short-anime-poll-2025-results-vGI2GqY But Im not sure if they would like it that much.

I pushed Dororo, but I pushed Rainbow Nisha way more :D But to be honest: I want to give them a happy show after Cowboy Bebop: A Place Further Than The Universe!

Ein’s first episode tells us he was some kind of laboratory experiment that got away, so the set up was there haha.

I LOVE the last line. The hacker boy who's body was technically dead, yet his consciousness find a way to hack into the network and started such a far reaching cult. "Is not the human body a mere shell, a form of existence all too small and weak for consciousness with such vast reach and potential?"

Sweet dreams space cowboy

GreedCtrl

only 3 eps left😢

.mvnk

because it was made in the context of being made after the show

YawnSong

I would recommend watching episode 25 and 26 together

Here are the 3 Short Anime’s I Recommend you to react to once Cowboy Bebop is finished. These are all finished stories so there is no having to wait for anything. 1. Orb On The Movement Of The Earth. It has 25 episodes. It’s considered one of the best anime’s out there by many right now. 2. Your Lie In April, It has 22 Episodes. It’s about music and life. It’s a sad but beautiful/hopeful story. 3. Dororo, It has 24 episodes. It’s an underrated gem that unfortunately will never win a poll but I pray that it does one day. It deserves to win. It’s a bit dark but hopeful as well. Robert has been pushing for it to win for years lol.

Frieren The Hamburger Slayer

Frieren again!!!!!

If you didn't know, the cult in this episode is believed to be a reference to the Heavens Gate mass suicide that happened in the USA in 1997. Also upon rewatch, this episode is a lot better than I remember. It's got enough of an emotional twist at the end that makes it quite good.

This is one of my top 5 favorite episodes of Bebop. I think seeing a boy in a vegetative state create a cult where "the human body isn't needed" is fascinating. Has the boy actually convinced himself that this is true as a way to cope with his trauma/despair? or is he merely lashing out at the world in the only way that he can?

Anime recommendations: Your Lie In April, Clannad season 1 and 2, Made In Abyss. Just 3 lighthearted shows where absolutely nothing horrible and tragic happens

Reanimator14454

girls you released ep18 instead that ep17 on youtube

Can't believe that we're already on episode 23 of Cowboy Bebop. Crazy how time flies. I'm sure that you guys already have another show lined up, but I'll just throw out Samurai Champloo since it was directed by the same person that did Cowboy Bebop. Another lovable main cast where music plays a large role in setting the theme.

I think that Ed’s final line is an important moment of development. Ed is an enigma, but maybe she saw Ronnies situation, a kid of similar age and a former fellow hacker, and thought she could have ended up in a similar state if her situation was different. She can empathise with him. I also like Spike waiting for Faye to wake up, and genuinely smiling when she does. Shows his care for her without being direct, which this show does very well.

Idk why they told you to watch the movie after finishing the show.. but I feel the movie is better before finishing the show but that’s just me. I’m pushing for Pluto or Neon Genesis Evangelion for next short anime options. The only advantage Pluto has is the fact is only 8 episodes and is from the same guy who made Monster :))

very niceu caesar-chan

I know we still have episode 24 next, but just wanted to say that the final two episodes, 25 and 26, are part 1 and part 2.

James Long

The movie takes place before this episode because Big Shot is cancelled in this episode.

James Long

Rewatching this episode with you guys after not having seen it for years really made me appreciate it more, it's gone up the ranks for me a lot, great reaction as always On a sidenote if you're starting to pool your options for Cowboy Bebop's replacement I throw my vote in for Samurai Champloo, the next work from Bebop's creator

hassan jabari

Mad Men getting referenced in other shows' discussions... I used to pray for times like this. The movie is actually between this episode and the next one

bondbond53

dororo!

thenamelessgirl

We will get one tomorrow, the schedule says Monster on Thursday and Sunday.

Dimitron

are we getting only one episode of monster this week? :[

alon

I have 3 suggestions for the short anime poll 1. Pluto, from the same creator of Monster 2. Neon Genesis Evangelion, 26 episodes of pure perfection 3. Watch Frieren again until S2 comes out in January I guarantee these are the best options

Bernardo

I'm here for my weekly campaigning for Neon Genesis Evangelion to be added to the poll! Once again, 26 episodes + movie that will continue the retro anime streak of Cowboy Bebop
