Atsumu is the best person to say that too him. He has no knowledge of Kageyamas history and he even said "i thought you would be prickly and hard to talk to too" which is exactly how Kageyama used to be.. but Atsumu having now knowledge of that and all he sees is this meek, "teachers pet" kageyama who wants to please all his spikers and has no voice and Atsumu is "ALL BALLS" type of person who said "if you cant hit my spikes.. you just suck." complete confidence that he set the ball perfectly.

A great example of turning a negative into a positive. Kageyama old teammates made him see it as derogtory and completely negative but Hinata is trying to show Kageyama that he needs to start talking power from being called the king. "Yes, you are a King. Be a King. We need the King of the Court if we want to win nationals".

this episode does a great job in explaining an interpretation of the goody two shoes line. it's like criticizing someones parenting. Are you being accommodating or are you spoiling your child? Are you really giving your team the best possible sets or are you giving teammates sets despite them not being at their best. Kageyama was so afraid of returning to the tyrant king that he swung too far in the other direction and allowed people to walk over him. Tsukkishima's hit near the end was the perfect example of what kageyama can bring out in others if he is okay with giving them a push in the right direction. It all comes down to communication!
That being said, I still find it absurd for atsumu to come to that observation after one day of practice with kags lol. it would've made more sense for that line to come from someone who has seen him play a bunch.
