You're wrong again. Dieter is referred to in the outie world in another episode, aka Dieter's Twin as a band name on a marquee, so he wasn't invented just to scare innies.

Many times shows will skip the intro for critical episodes. Sometimes for flow, sometimes for runtime

That would be fair if innie mark hasn’t been doing anything to try and find her. Innie mark has no connection and still is actively trying to find her and learn more information. Also hes acting like a lovestruck horny teenager because he basically is one his whole “life” he hasn’t been allowed to have any connections until now. Irv of all people who has on more than one occasion thrown away any plans the team came up with to go see bert cant act like hes above how mark behaves with helly.

iMark is his own person though. It's good that he's trying to save her and such, but on what level should he make himself less of a person? Why should he not seek his own happiness?

I'm always sad that nobody seems to recognise John Turturro. Obviously not enough people watch Coen brothers' movies.

Fire reference at the end (your in no mood for his bullshit)
But yeah I agree I pay just for the soprano vids and tbh i just realised how silly it is paying for reaction vids while typing this so this is me heading out

1. I think the twin story was a metaphor. Keir went into the woods and killed the part of him that was a servant to human appetites and in so doing, he “tamed his tempers”.
2. I dont know if this story was concocted just for our four innies, but one thing that leads (me) to believe it may have been is the name Deiter. Tremel Tillman (the actor who plays Milcheck) has stated the entire purpose of this outing is to scare the innies so that they dont want to go outside anymore. And i cant help but notice that the name Deiter quite similar to “deter”. As in to discourage someone from doing something.

Its just to save time. They want to fit more story into the episode and chose to save time by not having an intro. Shows do it all the time. That’s often how u know u r getting a really good episode.

I generally like their reactions but they talk over important plot points in this show. Often speculating about stuff that will soon be answered and are not pertinent to whats happening on screen. In this episode for example they missed that Irving was being executed he wasnt simply being fired. The data that made him his innie was being wiped. They missed all of that because they were talking about what a badass Irving was. That kind of thing keeps happening in each episode.

Also, during that dream, the text on his computer screen only contained numbers and the letters "E, A, G, N" which briefly morphed into helly's face.

Not sure if you noticed, but in Irving’s dream sequence the creepy Woe character was sitting diagonally across from Irving which is the same relative position of Irving and Helly’s cubicles in MDR. Perhaps that was meant to signify the moment in his dream when he realised who Helly really was, coz it was straight after that he woke up and started running towards the waterfall.

I actually agreed with Irving. I get the fact that Mark’s innie has no feelings of love for Miss Casey but he still knows that she is the wife of his outie (which is still physically him) and that she is being held prisoner by Lumon….and yet even though he knows all that he is still acting like a lovestruck horny teenager around Helly/Helena. I’m Team Irving on this one.

true, but Gemma didn't mean to innie mark what Burt means to Irving, so the statement doesn't hold the same weight.

I don't think Helly is trying to be someone else...she believes that Helly is her in the sense that "her Innie is not a person, but she (Helena) is". She sees Helly's experiences as an extension of herself, and therefore Helly's relationships are hers, and not Helly's. She seemed genuinely hurt and cried when Irving said she was someone else, trying to insist "it's me". And in a way, that's true. The message of this series is that "we're people, not parts of people". If Helena decides to reintegrate down the line, all of this would be a part of her as one person. That being said I totally agree with you on the conversation around consent and how manipulative this is on Helena's end.

Am i the only one that thought what irving said about marks wife was out of pocket? Everyone talks about what helena said rightfully so but i still think the irv thing wasn’t cool either

yeah, and him methodically drowning Helena like that seemed like muscle memory. I wonder if outie Irving has done that before.

Depending on the episode, I love each character so much (I love all of them equally) but there's something really endearing about Irving.

Again, I want to recommend Silo, also an Apple original with a unique storyline and ongoing mystery. Different world but somehow similar vibes and quality (although I can't say much about season 2 as I haven't watched it yet). I think you would really enjoy it!

We saw at the end of season 1 some hints that Irving might have a military & investigative background (map, list of names etc), and we also saw his memories leaking between innie & outie with the painting stuff….I wonder if Irvings brain is wired for analytical/investigative thinking and maybe that helped him figure out it wasn’t Helly.

Helena's creepy face change in the tent was an phenomenal piece of acting by Britt. It was even more disturbing than Bilbo's sudden face change in Rivendell. That's a reference for Lola, maybe not for Milena ;)

Two incredible lines by Irving:
- "Helly was never cruel"
- "YES, DO IT SETH!!"
John Turturro just better get an Emmy nomination.
Amazing television!
