I usually give it a one or two episodes before I decide which to go with, and her voice just doesn't fit the character at first glance. She sounds way too old when she's supposed to be a timeless elf. Her deep voice stoic delivery is just not it. Especially when compared to the Japanese VA when her range of emotion is much more subtle with her stoic unbothered voice. English VA is just reading the lines with barely any emotion to them in the subtle way Frieren's Japanese VA shows.

2024-10-25 23:07:07 +0000 UTCI agree girls, as someone that doesn't have a preference or any issues with watching dub anime. Frieren's voice just doesn't sound right in English. In my opinion, it clashes with the character and its way too jarring to listen to.
