Good for them Helly is a real one for being so stubborn that she immediately resorts to attempting to kill herselves, and it's brilliant that she's made it so her outie will be the one to experience it. At this point drastic measures have to be taken

The people on the severed floor have zero culture, that's what the handbook is. It feels religious but it's primarily a replacement culture with the goal of getting severed workers like Irving to buy into it, to substitute their lack of any history or identity. So Mark and Dylan reading the cringeworthy lines, this is the first writing they've ever read that isn't Lumen-approved. "Your work needs you more than you need it" is trite in our world but for them its borderline revolutionary. Man who has only ever read the Lumen handbook reading his 2nd book: "this Ricken guy has some interesting ideas"

2024-10-01 23:38:03 +0000 UTCYou previously said that there needs to be some suspension of disbelief regarding the idea that you become a different person altogether when you go downstairs, or that you forget. But I would argue that for example with amnesia, you also have to recreate a context for your identity in a similar way. And I think the idea of innie and outie could be compared to Dissociative Personality Disorder, or DID for short. Previously known as Split Personality Disorder. There are cases where people have episodes and entirely different parts (known as alters) of their psychology awaken and take over, with a completely different identity (tastes, likes, preferences, and even sexual orientation). I invite you to read up on it, or watch some YouTubers with it talk about it. I think Severance takes some of these real-life occurrences and uses them in a creative way. The brain is a wild thing.

Turturro said the director how would he like to have walken in the series as he could see himself falling in love with his friend…of course Ben stiller was more than happy with the idea
