nopee, ukai does not get paid for it. only teachers of the school can be the official coach and get paid, in this case takeda-sensei. meaning ukai just volunteers to coach them, while also having two other jobs. man is a hussler

2024-09-10 02:57:03 +0000 UTCI would say the original manga's story is much better and the movie really compressed too many volumes of the manga into two hours, making it feel a bit rushed, and as a result, the audience didn't have enough time to empathize with some characters. However, I think it's still one of the few decent Hollywood adaptations of Japanese manga.
