Have heard great things about Severance!! As for k-dramas one of the greatest is Pachinko (8 eps) which I heavily recommend at least watching in your own time, if only for the fact that it's directed by the legendary video essayist turned film director Kogonada, whose 2 films Columbus (2017) and After Yang (2022) are imho some of the most beautiful emotional portrayals of the human experience and are considered masterpieces of modern indie cinema as well.

Why would they watch squid game? And replacing the long show slot after sopranos is a bad idea cuz the quality of long shows is a lot higher, and they only did that as an exception once cuz 3 shows they were already watching came out with a new season at same time.

Why do you seem so sure Squid Game will be a sure thing? I feel that was a bit of an overhyped show that came at the right time to get lots of eyes on it but it's faded from the public consciousness big time and there's no certainty that season 2 will even be any good. Imo unless it seems amazing I don't see a reason they have to react to that

I still appreciate My Name being put on this poll though it's definitely not gonna win against Severance. And I wanna take this chance to recommend it to anyone who hasn't heard of it or had some troubles finding information about it (since it has a quite common name and might be confused with other shows). Here's the show's basic info on imdb: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt12940504 In my opinion, My Name stands out in the world of K-dramas with its strong female lead and focus on intense action rather than romance, which is often the center of many Korean series with a female protagonist. And I love Han So-hee's powerful portrayal of the protagonist so much. And it only has 8 episodes so it won't take much time. Anyway, it is a must-watch for people who crave a fierce, action-packed story centered around personal growth and survival.

Since Severance seems to be a pretty clear winner, you still have to decide how you want to do it with Arcane and Squid Game and everything after. Severance is 9 episodes long, so if you stick with one episode per week, you'll probably release the last episode on November 9th. Arcane season 2 will release the first 3 episodes on November 2nd. If you upload the first Arcane episode on November 16th, Arcane would go until January 11th (no christmas break included). And then there's Squid Game on December 26th and Severance Season 2 on January 17th, exactly one week after January 11th. You could theoretically consider watching Squid Game Season 2 after Severance, so on March 22, but then the hype is probably already over for many. Otherwise, if you want to watch Squid Game during the hype and also don't want to push Severance Season 2 away, that would mean a 7 slot week again, kind of stressful and that during Christmas - February, which is just the worst timing. And then there's Andor season 2 in February/March and then Gen V season 2 and The Bear season 4 in the summer 2025. The only good thing is: Sopranos is finished in June, so you could use the long show slot again to finish watching currently running shows and free up the pipeline. Still a difficult thing to find a schedule that will work smoothly. The good thing about the anime slot is that with Frieren and Vinland Saga we only have two shows that will get more seasons in the next years. So there are fewer problems there. :D

I wanted a poll with the losers from the last polls, so Sandman and Firefly and Andor, but on Discord it was clearly expressed that only 8-9 episodes of shows should be in the poll because of Arcane.
