How many young people move to LA to be an actor, and how many become actors? How many people are studying art who will never have a paid career as an artist? Sometimes you love a vocation so much it's worth the risk, and this is also why it's easier for people with privilege (rich, parental connections) to take risks, even in this show Sydney has a Dad she can move on with if she fails. Its also fine to risk things more when you're younger like if you fail, oh well, at least you tried something and learned a lot. Much harder when you have family, mortgage bills, health issues etc.

Most food businesses and restaurants fail, I'm pretty sure the success rate is like 30% or something lol. The Beef was also a failing business and it's unlikely Carmy would have been able to save it long term with a 300k debt.

2024-08-18 03:33:26 +0000 UTCI will say I’m starting to noticing that Sydney’s character likes to start things and then when things go south, she tends to abandon those things instead of communicating. In the first season they mentioned she used to have a catering business but then quit on it because it was too hard then on the same season she quit on episode 7 because she folded under pressure and now I’m starting to see that she is thinking about quitting the bear to be partners with another guy.. idk I’m just wondering where are they going with her character but is just a bit annoying. That’s it. Everything else in this episode is alright I guess. Next episode is dedicated for all 4 or 5 people who are fans of Nat lol

I can't understand how so many people from The Bear's audience watch the series and still manage to think about romance between him and anyone else when Carmy is constantly acting in a way where he'll put a gun in his mouth at any moment.

Actually wanted to suggest to watch The Killing after the bear , but I kinda have a feeling that you watched it or maybe you mentioned it , but I could be wrong. It's an anthology show so each season is its own complete story and season 1 is by far the best and the one worth reacting to. It's a moody and well-shot true crime show with two great lead characters that will make for interesting discussion and reaction. Also an all-time great intro song and visual.
