I understand why people want to throw out their suggestions, but when you do so over and over again, particularly if the reactor isn't asking for suggestions, it could be interpreted as, "Hurry up. Finish this show and watch something else." Similar comments were posted on previous episodes, too, so it's starting to feel a bit repetitive. I'm absolutely certain that they've seen the comments asking for reactions to shows like Frieren (which is a great show, I will admit). Milena and Lola aren't new to the reaction scene, so I'm sure they're used to this by now, but I still think it's a good idea to stay on topic (i.e. their reaction, the episode, or the series as a whole). It would be a different story if they asked for show requests, or if this was the final episode, or if they hadn't seen all these show recommendations multiple times before. At the end of the day, we're all paying to be here, so if people want to make show requests every week, that's their prerogative. Just as I'm free to call it out. Just as you're free to question me for calling it out.

I haven't watched their reaction yet, so maybe Milena and Lola asked for show requests, but if that's not the case, I think ya'll might be jumping the gun a bit.

2024-05-26 12:32:46 +0000 UTCSorry for replying late.. for me is not that interesting. I gave it a tried and after watching 5 episodes it was just.. boring, I guess. The main character is just too dull and the story while intriguing, I just couldn’t get into it. I felt that it was pretty slow at some points. Good for the people enjoying the show but for me it was ..dull and boring. And to be honest I don’t know why is so highly rated but then again I’m in the minority. And after seeing the results of that poll I can tell is just going to win by default but oh well.. there is hoping one day we can get Erased or Stein gates.

2024-05-26 12:12:12 +0000 UTCI'm not a fan of Miranjo's storyline either, but the mini-stories listed focus on Ouken (if you've watched episode 23, then you know we definitely need more of him here), Bebin's past, Boiji and Deida as children, and more of Kage and Boiji's mother. They're really good additions.

2024-05-26 07:37:58 +0000 UTCI appreciate the reply! I’m familiar with the crazy feeling when it seems like I’m not watching the same show as others. Two recent shows that really missed for me are Tokyo Revengers and Solo Leveling. With the former I truly feel like people must like it ironically, and the latter really just felt like any other power fantasy and I was truly unimpressed with the animation. Not sure if this is the audience for either, but I similarly needed to get it off my chest!

The show has a very mellow tone and so the characters are all kind of written to be comedically deadpan. It felt like all the characters were written that way, and it became very glaring for me when the show got to more serious conflicts and battles. Characters would be speak monotone and wear dull apathetic expressions while shooting lasers at each other so it would be hard for me to get invested in the fights when I didn’t believe the characters were. I felt like Frieren was at its strongest when it was focused on chill road trip slice of life while telling its story through flashbacks, but I found the last 10 episodes of wizard chunin exams really dull tbh. More power to people who like it, but being in the minority who doesn’t makes me feel like I’m going crazy so I had to get my thoughts out somewhere.

2024-05-25 21:24:05 +0000 UTCI don’t know if you girls already pick a replacement for this show or not but if not then I will throw a couple of short anime/suggestions: Erased, Paranoia Agent, Steins Gate, Welcome to the NHK. Those are some short (20 ish episodes) animes. I know people are suggesting Frieren and you might enjoy that one but I think it’s because it’s a recent one that people are hyping that one up.
