Not to mention that, like Death Note, the story of Stein’s Gate is more concept-driven than character driven, which to me makes it seem like a show LM wouldn’t like. But it’s just my opinion I’m not so high and mighty to gatekeep

Maybe I need to see Stein: Gate again, but from what I remember I can’t imagine LM enjoying that reaction as much as the others on the list. I do LOVE Frieren, but selfishly I want that to be twice a week. I just can’t endure doing 28 (24) weeks again

2024-04-29 20:03:50 +0000 UTCInteresting results. As I don't watch their HxH reactions, I was unaware that it had turned into a recommendation thread. I still think they should wait on Frieren until S2 gets announced, as that would give their Frieren reactions more visibility now that S1 is finished. That, and it's always sad when you catch up with a show, especially when the show was amazing. I want more Frieren now, but it probably won't be for a while, and I'm still bummed about that. I'd hate for Milena and Lola to feel this way.

As a result, the comments section has been turned into a recommendations thread. Since both the patreons and the two were unsure, I just took all the recommendations and opened a poll at strawpoll. In the last 5 days over 100 people had voted and this was the result. I think it gives a good insight into what we want to see next.

2024-04-27 22:00:25 +0000 UTCThe results for the anime polls are in. Over 100 people have voted. The first place in the Short Anime Poll was obviously: Frieren. With 28 episodes it is relatively long for a short anime, but still acceptable. Just a heads up: The manga currently has material for 2.5 seasons and will probably end with 4 seasons and 200 chapters. So if you start it, be prepared to wait for the next 5 years until the story is finished. There is also the question of whether the manga will be adapted further. Nothing further has been announced yet, but a continuation of the adaption is very likely. Or Mappa will simply come and grab the next brand and increase the working hours of its employees from 70 hours a week to 90. Otherwise, places 2-10 are very interesting. They all received almost the same number of votes: Steins Gate, Cowboy Bebop, Banana Fish, Odd Taxi, Pluto, Erased, Your Lie in April, Psycho Pass (Season 1) and A Place Further Than The Universe. All these anime are complete and finished. I would also like to mention Parasyte. It was only added to the poll late, but received so many votes in such a short time that it might have made it into the top 10 as well. For more information, look into https://strawpoll.com/jVyG8zwPYn7/results In the Long Anime Poll, it's clearly a battle between Haikyuu and Monster with Jujutsu Kaisen, Spy x Family, Kaguya-sama: Love is War, Fruits Basket, Naruto, Code Geass and Legend of the Galactic Heroes coming in a bit behind. Naruto, with almost 720 episodes, should theoretically be eliminated as a possibility, but since half of them are fillers and there is a 90-episode version with Oceaniz Cut, with episodes lasting 50 to 80 minutes, I have added it to the poll as an option.
