2024-04-25 13:19:06 +0000 UTCI completely agree with you. In the comic, he was simply resurrected as a robot and carried on as if nothing had happened. In the show, they give him a lot more personality in that, like Rick, he has trouble accepting his current self.

2024-04-25 07:42:52 +0000 UTCMany shows introduce a problem and solve it within one season. With Invincible, instead, there are lots of things running in parallel. As a result, it's not really easy to guess what will happen next. Most of the time, what you least expect happens. This automatically makes the story more interesting for me, even as someone who has read the comics after Season 1. They make quite a few small changes or introduce completely new storylines. For example, the story with Donald doesn't exist in the comic. Debbie's mental state has been expanded with many scenes. Eve's return to her parents after the thing with Chicago was also new. It's really much fun to watch it.

I really hope we get his backstory adapted as a special before season 3. But I'm glad that the backstory of Immortal was told with showing important events from his life for 15 seconds in Season 1. His story didn't need that much depth. I'm still wondering what the best time is for Kate's backstory though. There was already talk of a family curse at the funeral in this episode. Maybe a 5 minute narrative within an episode as a flashback with Immortal? To have a whole special for it now after her death would be weird.

They have been hinting at it season the first season, in the first season he said that he wasn't allowed to go to High School, and that his childhood sucked, in the last episode he mentioned how he used to hide at Eve's house for a year and a half and in this episode Eve mentioned he never really had a home. Like I'm so interested in his story it's crazy.

2024-04-25 04:49:44 +0000 UTCAlso I wanted to post this on your episode 4 reaction but these past few weeks have been so hectic I forgot, but I wanted to say that it makes sense why Nolan would care more for Thraxans than Humans. Because of their short life spans, Thraxans legit DO NOT have time to war with each other. They spend their lives sustaining their planet and making it better, instead of indulging in petty squabbles or spending countless resources just for war, like humans do. All the flaws of human nature the Thraxans do not have, time is peaceful and they spend their lives loving each other. A direct opposite of Earth and Humans and even Viltrum, who spends their lives conquering other planets. It was probably a real culture shock once he landed there. It was kind of a slap in the face to Mark and Debbie though that he remarried and had another kid.

2024-04-25 04:45:44 +0000 UTCThis is honestly my favorite episode when it comes to Mark's character, and also the next two. I always enjoyed Mark as a character, but I can't say I ever loved him. There was something missing for me with him that kept stopping me from loving him. Unlike with Debbie, who we were allowed to just sit with and grieve with her, with Mark we just wasn't allowed in his head much in my opinion and so for me I couldn't resonate. But this episode, we got that. His conversation with Art paralleled with Amber's conversation with Eve was so well done. It was so real and authentic and I 100% understood where both characters were coming from. Debbie is hands down my favorite character in this show, followed by Nolan, but Mark just jumped to #3 where Rex was initially. Also I know this is an unpopular opinion but I absolutely DO NOT ship Mark/Eve, honestly to me they are boring and predictable, they haven't had a single scene where I think they are cute. They remind me A LOT of Lucas and Peyton from One Tree Hill, and if any of Y'all don't know what One Tree Hill is, just know Lucas/Peyton was the most pasty, bland, no sauce, no flavor, no spice couple to ever hit my TV screen and Mark/Eve resemble them A LOT, lol.

It is essentially the walking dead as these two shows are created by the same person. Which I found funny cause if I remember correctly you guys started your channel with a massive start on The Walking Dead.
