I'd almost suggest doing that for every character, along with their names. I started taking notes and keeping a character list when I first watched Ranking of Kings, and everything felt easier to follow because of that.

2024-01-27 11:44:42 +0000 UTCThe first episode clarified that the ranking of a king depends on three things: the number of loyal guards that serve him, the prosperity and happiness of the town and having the power and strength of a hero. We can also see in the flashback of the fathers ranking that Bebin and Aepeas were fighting with him while Daida fought alone, so maybe that also made him rank lower. I'm sure youll notice while editing, but the suspicious thing mentioned about the ranking system was that the first place gets to pick one piece of treasure from the "Divine Treasure Vault" and they all end up picking the same item and then either lose their mind or go missing

2024-01-27 10:56:53 +0000 UTCAs Spy x Family has slowly shifted into the Long Anime slot, it now competes with Haikyuu, Monster, Frieren, Kaguya-sama, Fruits Basket, Clannad, March Come in Like a Lion, Jujutsu Kaisen, The Apothecary Diaries and other prominent recommendations for the slot. It's going to be a tough fight.

2024-01-27 10:18:25 +0000 UTCWith a lot of brain power, I found the first 16 episodes still comprehensible, but it's not easy either. After that it gets very difficult and one character still confuses me even after the end. His/Her actions seem so illogical that I just need more answers. But the two of them understood this episode perfectly. But I have to admit that it also took me a while to take the other characters and their story to heart, as they get a lot less screentime than Bojji and Kage. I also found some of the mini-stories in The Treasure Chest of Courage (TCC) extremely helpful, as they show more of the other characters and make it easier to fall in love with them. I therefore still think that TCC episodes 8, 7.1, 4, 5.1 and 10 should be included in a reaction to the show between some episodes. It makes the thoughts of some characters so much clearer.

2024-01-27 06:34:14 +0000 UTCJust watched this episode for the first time myself. I like this show so far, but I'll admit a lot of it kind of doesn't make sense to me? It doesn't like to explain a lot, and that's fine, but sometimes it can really feel like it throws off the tone of an episode. I'm also admittedly impatient for Bojji and Kage to meet up again lol, I'm not as invested in the other characters. The ending was a bit of a surprise, though I actually started to get suspicious when the foxes died. The other guard (don't know his name, though he's sweet and I like him) said that the knives must have been poisoned, but it got me wondering if maybe the meat had been poisoned instead. So as soon as Domas and Bojji started heading toward the literal hole to hell I thought something bad was going to happen. Still, I thought it might subvert it by having Domas pull Bojji back or that something was going to pop out of the hole instead.
