it only drags at the second half and that is because of the narration. if it wasn't for the narration all the details would fly over most of the audiences head so I understand why they chose that way of story telling. I agree that it shouldn't be that way so we can speculate on what and whys but unfortunately most of the anime watchers want to be spoonfed so I guess it is a good decision

Please hold off on watching the opening for a good while!!

When I read these kind of comment I just don't understand what people mean, the pace of this anime is too fast and almost all interactions are important and reveal something. It's interesting to see them react to each episode because in every episode there are beautiful moments.

It's fun to watch something together with the two of them, to hear their thoughts on it. In my opinion, they're the best Reaction Youtubers on the whole platform. And here are a lot of really nice people who want to show the two of them shows that we love and that they will hopefully love. I'm not sure if they have a follow-up show in mind for The Bear yet. It could be Firefly or The Sandman, or something completely different like Chernobyl or Narcos. Might be your first chance to vote for a show as well :D

The girls have said something like his need for power is worrying but Gon doesn't want to be powerful just for power's sake he wants to prove he's powerful enough to meet Ging. Most of the "crazy" things Gon does is in service of that goal

2023-11-01 17:56:36 +0000 UTCI think my favorite thing about HxH is that it captures a wider range of emotion for me than maybe any other shonen manga/anime aside from FMA (2003) We get scary moments, emotional parallels between character arcs, tear jerking moments etc etc but it all fits! (Bisky saying she isn’t interested in men who have kids always has me 💀) We are so damn spoiled getting to travel with Gon and Killua 😩

I can't put into words how much I love this arc and how much it means to me. It has been so many years since the first time I watched hxh, but this upcoming arc cements itself as one of the best arcs ever. Usually, I tend to grow out of things and my opinion differs, especially from stuff I watched as a child. But I still feel the same, if not more positive towards this arc than I did in the past.

It's also good that he hid from the Bomber so that he'll never know who survived and learn about the purger's abilities.

2023-11-01 03:48:23 +0000 UTCI am worried the hype will hurt the experience, but at the same time, for me, it far exceeded the massive hype I had going in, and is pretty much what defines the show for me. Like nothing else even comes close, it's easily my favorite arc in all of anime. The pacing is actually perfect imo outside of a few episodes, but I do wonder how well the pacing will work if they're only watching like 2 eps a week on average.

"I don't know what's gonna happen" We will probably hear this a lot from you two during this arc. don't get frustrated if you can't predict where the story will go. I'm not saying don't try to predict, predicting is fun. Just saying that this arc's major path isn't supposed to be predictable. Some minor detours along the way, they will be easier to catch but thinking of the end game (we still want to hear it from you two, it's fun) is a fool's errand. do you have backup audio and video? would suck even if one episode got lost/corrupted during this arc.
