I think this is a funny thing to consider but since theres no way it was planned or intended, just a funny coincidence that fits with the theory ironically yet unintentionally

2023-10-29 09:18:14 +0000 UTC23:05 - Lol, that quick shot of Panda Maid makes me chuckle... as mentioned in a prior episode comment, this is another card most include in the age old fan theory about Gon being born on Greed Island from pregnancy stone (aka nen clone). The card summons a Panda maid that will cook and other household tasks, and the description includes - "They have a particular skill for taking good care of human children. The user should be able to leave their children in the loving care of these creatures!". Its generally accepted that Gon visited (or left) greed island around 2 ish (he had a ring and save data). This 'theory' easily fits in with that fact, and comically implies that not only did Ging abandon Gon as a toddler, but also abandoned him here from birth till 2, leaving him to being raised by an NPC Panda until he could dump him on Mito lmao. That cards like pregnancy stone and panda maid even exist is already beyond bizarre and disturbing, many of the cards are odd when studying the entire list, but a few are so oddly specific that it seems intentionally planted to make the reader imagine the possibilities for anyone who had access to these cards. That one could create a card that can create life so casually, even if it wasnt used to create Gon, its still rather absurd mechanically, not to mention lacking any regard for the moral or philosophical implications. Ive wondered when pondering this possibility if partly why Ging wanted to be less involved was because it was an experiment of sorts, and/or he didnt want to overly influence the outcome of what a nen produced genetic clone of himself would do or who they would become given their own life path free of his influence... tho imo that doesnt let him off the hook for his obscene lack of accountability and care for what is still a human child with the same needs as any other. While this is the only Gon origin theory that has accumulated evidence and survived the past decade on reddit and HxH forums, general anime audience dont tend to know about it as the cards are not listed and mostly overlooked. Many dislike the concept and reject it as absurd or a red herring that Togashi has placed to troll us, which could well be the case. I didnt like the notion of Gon lacking a biological mother and found the idea silly when first considered, but over the years have found it harder and harder to disprove or dismiss. Shrug, still just a theory ofcourse

I know my behavior is annoying but if they read your comment they'll react differently to the ending of episode 75. The spoiler is to tell them to watch 1st episode of 1999 between episode 75 and 76, you are basically telling them that they'll meet that character in those episodes

If they want to go in totally blind then they should! They should approach media in the way that is the most fun for them. I personally looove watching intros, it increases my curiosity and excitement. I think if they love that as much as i do, then watching the intro couldn’t possibly ruin anything for them. But if they get more enjoyment out of being totally surprised by everything that comes, then they should skip it. DO WHAT YOU WANT GIRLS!!

I mean if they skip it, it will not ruin anything, what it's important is the episode itself, not the intro. They already heard the song more than 70 times already, they really could just skip it now. I personally never watched the hxh intros when I was watching the anime and it went completely fine. And I'm glad I didn't because I knew nothing about the chimera like them, so the intro would just (have??) spoiled me. So yeah I think they should skip the intro for at least the first 10ep but again, why not just skip all the intros it's always the same song anyway. edit : i'm dumb. i wrote this before watching their reaction and they seem to be excited to watch the next intro to find out more about chimera so they should just watch it.

2023-10-28 07:34:54 +0000 UTCThis might be a weird request, but is there any way you girls can react to the first episode of HxH (1999) between episode 75 and 76 of HxH (2011)? Its just that the first ep of HxH99 was a prequel to the show that wasn't adapted into the 2011 version and watching it will give you more context for ep 76. Plus the 99 version of HxH has a very unique atmosphere and aesthetic different from the 2011's version that I think you would find very interesting (also it has baby Gon in it)

However, I don't believe they have that amount of self control for 10+ episodes. What I'm going to try to manifest, is that their theories are so wrong that it doesn't actually matter if they watch the intro.

The OP is about as spoilery (as in, it's not) as the one for the Yorknew City arc, and that arc wasn't diminished in any way. Anime fans get weirdly controlling with reactions.
