Returning to old stories/suggestions

Hey guys, in the past week five people have either asked me to return to old stories, add chapters to recent ones, or suggested that I write stories to go with art that has none.

I really hate to disappoint you terrific people, especially as you are supporting me, but I VERY rarely return to old stories. If a story did not interest me enough to write more at the time, it will be even less interesting now.

As for extending stories - a dear friend suggested that I continue my latest story Sinkhole. On one hand, while it seems appealling to explore the character's story as he gets back to civilisation, meets his family, and maybe explains what happened to them, or doesn't, I'm really not a fan of over closing stories.

With most stories, I'm not writing them to create an entire universe, complete with aftermath explanations; I'm simply writing about a single incident, and providing enough backstory to make it interesting.

Any time I write out of a sense of obligation, it's a horrible grind, and the results lack any passion. I never want that to be how I write. Every story, has to come from a strong idea and once that idea is spent, the story is over.

If you've made suggestions, please don't take offence that I have not jumped at your ideas. It's not personal, but it's just not how I work.

Thank you so much for sharing your enthusiasm, and for showing an interest in my work. I really appreciate you!

I really appreciate the support Robert. Means a lot to me know people enjoy my work, and the financial support is a terrific help!

Hey Rocco, thanks for your encouragement. TBH, Conditioning was only ever meant to be a single parter but I let it get away from me. Then people loved it so I carried on while the muse was with me, but it's kind of fizzled out. I really try to stay away from multiparters now unless I am absolutey positive that I will eventually finish them. The general idea of Conditioning type stories is something that I definitely cycle back around to occasionally. Email me dariomindus@hotmail.co.uk and perhaps there may be more already waiting.

Thanks for all the work you put into your stories. I really liked your series "Conditioning 1-11" but thought it ended abruptly. Is there any hope of this story continuing? Or writing more stories in this vein?
