Changes to the High Maintenance trait
Added 2021-09-04 20:22:04 +0000 UTCIn case you missed it, Maxis will be adding their own High Maintenance trait to the Spa Day pack in this upcoming week's patch. While they did not cover the features of the trait in depth during their livestream, the description of it sounds pretty similar to my own and the name alone will obviously cause some confusion in game.
At this point, I have no intention to remove or retire my trait, as that could cause issues for Sims who already have the trait and, despite being part of my "Spa Day" bundle, my trait is technically Base Game compatible so it can remain available to those without the pack. In the future, I may change or add features to make the differences between our traits more pronounced, but my immediate priority (after ensuring my mods are compatible with the new game patch) is to give my trait a new name.
For now, I am leaning toward using the name "Lavish", but it's not set in stone yet. Other candidates I considered were "Decadent" and "Self-Indulgent". While I am working on it, I thought now might be a good time to give the trait a new icon as well. Here is my current draft:
What do you think? Do any other good names for it come to mind?

I like self-indulgent as well! Also, thank you for not retiring or discontinuing the trait. I don't think Maxis's trait sounds too similar to yours at all.
