Career Overhaul Update
Added 2021-03-04 04:49:58 +0000 UTCThe Career Overhaul Suite mod has received a sizeable update. It restructures how the files are set up so that you can do a little more picking and choosing of the career goals and degree changes, adds a few features from my to-do list, and fixes a couple of things.
For more details, check out the patch notes on my itch.io page for the mod.
Enjoy!

Whoops! Patreon never gave me a notification for your replies here, but glad to hear the goal itself is working as expected. Not sure why it would display 0 when it should be 1, but sometimes the UI can "stick" so this isn't totally a surprise. Thanks for testing and following up!

2021-03-16 23:23:53 +0000 UTCAnd I return with learnings! When my Sim completed his second degree, the requirement got checked off. So Sims should only need 2 degrees total. Wahoo!

2021-03-07 00:36:33 +0000 UTCThe game is telling me I need to "Earn 2 Degrees" and has a 0/2 progress marker. I can get you a screenshot if you'd like to see! (My Sim already has one degree, which he had before he started the career.) Given the way things in this game seem to work (i.e. Adventures in My Own Attempts to Mod), it wouldn't entirely surprise me if the requirement was considered complete when he completed this second degree ... but it'll take me some time to test that, because life is busy and there is, alas, never quite enough time to Sim.

2021-03-04 23:39:28 +0000 UTCThe Education careers should only need 2 degrees total, any major, earned at any time before or after you started the career. Is the game saying you need to earn 2 new degrees to progress? If so, I can investigate.

2021-03-04 15:15:51 +0000 UTCSquee! Update! I'm so excited - this mod has really changed the way I play and brought a ton of challenge back to the game. Thank you for this! Quick question though - to progress in Education career track, how many degrees do you need total? I currently have a Sim in that track at Level 7 (Professor branch) - it seems like he needs to earn 2 more degrees to progress (so a total of 3 degrees). But when I looked at your cheat sheet, it seemed like a Sim would only need 2 degrees total? I'm happy with it either way (more challenge!), just wondering which it is. Thanks again!
