RTX Reactor (First Alpha / Now A Public Demo)

Announcing my latest project: RTX Reactor, a program that will give you the ability to convert any Minecraft: Bedrock Edition texture pack for Minecraft RTX.
Essentially allowing you to experience all Minecraft texture packs with ray tracing, while retaining full functionality.

How does it work?
Accepts .mcpack and zip files of Minecraft texture packs as input, press enter, wait a few moments and ta-da! The RTX version of the pack is deployed at your desktop (likely C:\Users\%username%\Desktop)
Depending on the size of the pack and your computer this can take a while (usually a few seconds, up to 4 minutes).
(Requires .NET +6.0 - Download and Install .NET 6.0 Runtime from Microsoft's Website)

Step-by-step guide:
• After installing .NET 6.0 from the link above, download RTX Converter Setup from this post.
• Installation is straightforward, After it is finished, open RTX Converter.
• Download a .mcpack Minecraft Bedrock texture pack from the internet, or use the ones you already have, right click it and select "Copy as Path" from the context menu, and paste it into the console.
• Press enter and be patient!, it might take a while, later you're asked if you want fog or not (why wouldn't you?) type yes, or no, and wait a few moments, you should see packName-RTX.mcpack on your desktop,
• Import the converted pack like you usually import Vanilla RTX, activate it, enable ray tracing in video settings, and have fun.

Notes:
• This release is currently in alpha stage, that means it is functional enough to be used, but is unpolished and often lacks many of the features that will be included in the future versions of the program, so as of now, it merely serves the purpose of allowing you to experience Minecraft resource packs without ray tracing support with ray tracing, while retaining most of the functionality of light sources and different materials, there's no guarantee that it provides the perfect experience for each and every resource pack, results can vary. For the most part, this program is targeted at packs that retexture Minecraft with textures that represent the originals items, for example: Faithful 32x, Multipixel, Barebones, low resolution vanilla packs, like OcD, vanilla/vanilla+ packs, HD packs, etc... just to name a few.
• If you faced any issues or something went wrong, You can comment here, or if needed send me a friend request on Discord (Xubeir#3036) with the resource pack you were trying to convert & explanation of steps you went through (This will really help)
• I've planned on long term support for RTX Reactor with lots of features to come.
• Only the first Alpha release of RTX Reactor is called RTX Converter, since that is all it does in this particular release.
• Do not try to convert Minecraft Marketplace resource packs, they are encrypted.

Edit (July 6 2023): Today, I have unlocked this post for all Vanilla RTX patrons.
This post will eventually become public, so consider this particular release a demo.

Edit #2 (September 11, 2023): In celebration of the first anniversary of this Patreon page, I have decided to make this post free for everyone. Enjoy!

Please note that this release now serves merely as a demonstration of RTX Reactor. This is the earliest alpha release, swarmed with countless bugs and issues that were addressed in future releases and lacks key features that came in the later versions. (Like high quality material generation features, heightmap generation, etc...)
This version is out of support, you might encounter errors and the quality of packs generated with this version are not comparable to later releases.

So again, take this as a mere demo, it no longer represents a fraction of what RTX Reactor is capable of! (hence it keeps the old RTX Converter name)

It is possible to put Minecraft's default resources into RTX Reactor, after all that's another Minecraft texture pack like all others, any resource pack can be used. You can obtain Vanilla resources from aka.ms/resourcepacktemplate You should look for the resource packs folder with manifest.json in it, zip the entire folder and feed it to RTX Reactor. However note that for a vanilla experience, Vanilla RTX will always be better.

Am I able to use Default Minecraft texture Pack into RTX Reactor? If so, how?

Tony Son

That's right! you should select Copy as Path and paste the full path into RTX Reactor. The process is done fully locally on your own PC. RTX Reactor will need to access the pack files, so if there is any bedrock resource pack you wish to use with ray tracing, you first have to download it on your PC.

CubeIR

Heloo! When selecting a .mcpack, should I "Copy as Path" the Vanilla RTX in the RTX Reactor? Or in other words, am I required to download a texture pack in order to use RTX Reactor?

Tony Son

I'll try to make a video explaining things when I have time thanks

145 / 5,000 Resultados de traducción Traducción I was trying and if I was wondering about the option of the haze, but it did not leave me the file of the texture with ray tracing on the desktop.

Hey, I think we would be able to fix the issue more efficiently on discord, so we can send images. From the explanation you've written, it is possible there's an issue with the program, if you could record a video of your screen going through the steps & upload it to YouTube it would be a great help. You must have .NET 6.0 installed before running RTX Converter. If after conversion is complete you're not being asked about fog, I assume there must be an error you're getting? If the converted package appeared on your desktop anyway (despite not being asked about fog), were you able to use it and turn ray tracing on in video settings?

CubeIR

HELLO, HOW ARE YOU GOOD AFTERNOON, I AM A NEW SUB AND I CAME UPON THIS PUBLICATION, I PERFORMED THE STEPS TO FOLLOW BUT AT THE TIME OF WAITING, THE WINDOW DID NOT COME OUT ASKING IF I WANTED FOG, NOT MUCH LESS THE PACKAGE APPEARED ON MY DESKTOP COMPUTER. I DOWNLOAD THE .NET AND THE CONVERTER AND INSTALL THEM THEN DOWNLOAD THE BARE BONES TEXTURE AND PASTE IT INTO THE CONVERTER AS DIRECTED, BUT NOTHING.

SMaster

Hi, messaged you on Discord.

CubeIR

Hey there, sent a friend request on discord due to some issues with the converter. There's an odd error message that's very long and I have no clue what it means
