Important Announcement Regarding My Patreon

Hello. I'm making this post public because it concerns the future of this Patreon page. Months ago, creators such as myself were notified that the company will be requiring NFSW artists to verify our age with our driver or state IDs. They are using a third party company known as "Jumio" and it will be handling the whole process.

I stayed silent on this up until now because I wanted to see how it would play out. They were sending us notifications telling us that if we didn't want to do it with Jumio, then they were looking at alternative methods. Well, that was about 6 months ago and today, I found out they still haven't fully implemented that alternate system. Not only that, they also stated it would be something like requiring to upload our birth certificate or other sensitive information such as that.

I've always been honest with you guys so I'm going to flat out say that I will not be doing this. I was going to give the "alternative methods" a chance but judging by the way this is being handled, I don't have much confidence it will be a less invasive process.

I take privacy very seriously and that especially includes my own. Today, I researched Jumio and found out there is basically no guarantee that my info won't be used or sold to other interested parties. Or even safe from a breach. If you look into it yourself, you will see that several class action lawsuits have been filed against Jumio for this same exact reason.

To say the least, I'm not onboard and won't allow my patrons to be thrown into the mix.

If you're wondering what my solution is, it's pretty simple. DeviantArt has a built-in Patreon-like system so I will be transferring everything from here to there. There will literally be no difference. Same tiers and Google Doc link.

I understand if this is an inconvenience to any of you and if you wish to not follow me to there, it's okay. Honestly, my DA page is the central hub of everything I do for Jackal Entente so if anything, it's a smarter and smoother move.

When will this happen? I can't give a straight answer to that now but the only thing that will keep me here is if one of the alternative methods doesn't require me to give up such private information.

I don't have much faith that will happen so that's why I'm creating this post. That's pretty much it and I do apologize for any bullshit this may cause you all. I always intended for this to be a personal, sneak-peek way to get into my crazy fetish world but if the powers that be want to stick their noses in, then I'm out.
